Agreed. They’ll likely end up playing both of their inexperienced QBs, and they’ll both be shell-shocked by Texas’ speed and physical play not to mention 100,000 fans screaming for blood. I wouldn’t be surprised if, after this game, Texas’ D will have scored more points on the season than they’ve given up.

A) This brings up an interesting issue. Schools shoulder reputational risk for the actions or inactions of their third party collectives. Everyone is talking about UNLV even though they had nothing to do with this alleged agreement. I wonder if this is a reason why CDC wanted to bring collectives in house. B) Contracts 101. An agreement doesn’t exist unless there is a signed contract. He may say there was a verbal agreement, but all UNLV or their collective has to say (and they are) is that no such agreement existed. C) It’s starting to sound like this kid hired an agent and tried to squeeze the collective for more money now instead of pursuing an executed contract in the first place. Sounds very mercenary. I’m not sure what schools (other than Oklahoma) will be interested in paying for a QB who quit on his team mid-season for money. Especially after only three games for a G5 school. I’m not sure he really helped himself here.
