  1. Valid point, but I’m not a fan of other teams. My original point in the post is that until this year we held serve, and were very good at retention . This year not so much . This is an objective fact. It’s even presented in the data above .
  2. And at the least, we suck at evaluations if we “let” 20+ guys that were lauded less than 2 years ago not develop, or go because they aren’t good enough now.
  3. And I don’t think it’s all doom and gloom btw. I’m actually not a big go get stuff you already have in the portal guy. I think our secondary looks great for next year. Our D ends, same, don’t like losing Umiozulu, but that’s what we do now , so hey. 🤷 I think we are good at running back, QB, receiver, maybe (if a freshman pans out) but thin. Interior d line good now . I can even talk myself into a pretty good o line (I know not popular) goosby, turntine or Roberson , Robertson, nic brooks , and brandon baker. Tight end I also think we are good . Linebackers we should have kept Lefau, and we dang better not lose Barnes. We just had a lot of depth and we are losing it, and apparently we don’t have the recruiting chops to replace it . 17 game season is what we want, right? We better get some lineman and linebackers . I hope your right in the late gets. And I hope they aren’t 4th 5th choices
  4. Bo Barnes, Wisner, and Livingstone weren’t going to play a significant role ?
  5. This isnt like previous years. You missed my point. We never lost this much, culture was strong. I pointed out the difference in your previous years stats. What’s left to get in the last 10 days? Players comparable to what we lost for more money?
  6. We are bidding higher for what we don’t have. We could use that money at home. We have players that almost made the playoff, pay them and get them better. Don’t go crazy, I agree, but don’t tell them they are with less while throwing money at pipe dreams. Go ahead laugh when we go 8-5. We don’t have any linebackers or inside lineman. Laugh at that. And the future ones left at both positions . You guys treat other people like they are ignotant . Take and objective look at things. This isnt like previous years. See you missed my point. We never lost this much, cultural was strong.
  7. Delta: never lost 20+ players going after the highest rated people in the portal. It’s like spitting in your players faces . Cultural suicide when you preach to these kids something and then hypocrisy ensues: of course they are leaving. Be family guys. But now it’s business
  8. At running back, left guard, AND linebacker. We’ll give him an open tryout, and he can even go both ways and get double position NIL if he wants.
  9. No, we don’t like to give our own players we’ve invested in a chance anymore . We rather bid for overpriced subpar players from other schools that don’t know our system . You don’t get paid 10 million a year so you wouldn’t understand!. It’s way too complicated for us fans.
  10. Sark, Flood, whoever, it’s not uninformed or ignorant to see that there is objectively a problem at O line. When you have to rely on the portal, while at the same time lose all your floor and future at the position, there is something bad in the water. These guys measurables and athleticism are such that they ought to be better by year 3 in a college program. Too many of the young guys aren’t panning out (I could understand a couple ) Maybe it’s S&C , but this has to be identified and corrected. Sark and Flood can still be good coaches, and have blind spots. If you are married to your concepts and can’t adapt, sometimes you get stubborn. Maybe these pro style blocking concepts are too difficult to learn for these college kids in a couple of years. We need a more plug and play system? But something isn’t working, and it needs to be fixed.
  11. Yeah, I think a lot of people played well. Ty Anthony Smith, Collin Simmons, Clark, Mosley (until he got hurt), the line did ok run and pass blocking (except for penalties), Livingstone and Endries can catch. Have to agree to disagree. Defense needs to be addressed, but hasn’t it been? That offense with a Muschamp defense could be special. Let the (way to early) burnt orange cool aid start to flow.
  12. Merry Christmas to all. Watching football on Netflix. What a crazy new day we live in.
  13. Ok, sorry. No, I’m not an insider. I wish our strength program maybe was a little better. I don’t want to guess if it’s up to par, but the law of averages says some of these large humans if developing physically and learning proper technique should be able to move people around by their 3rd or 4th year in the program . If not, we have a fundamentals teaching problem, our schemes are too complicated for college students to learn in 3/4 years, or our big boys aren’t getting strong enough! That is something Sark gets paid alot to assess. Maybe he should take a look at firing some of these peeps quickly if he wants to turn things around!. Although, I am on board with the defensive changes ( and I liked PK) the floor there was high. The floor for the interior offensive line doesn’t exist. Start there. Fix that glaring problem .
  14. Any one of the 10 or so lineman we recruited to play for us. Whichever one or more develop and gets strong enough to play for us. Or not, maybe a transfer wins the job. What did you have in mind? Scrap everyone on campus and start over?
  15. Unpopular I know. And the portal cures all diseases and causes world peace. But some of our players will get better and might just win the job even if we bring in new players . So I think the fanbase will be happy with whoever is the best at each position. Anybody remember Dominic Espinosa, or Christian Jones, they got better as the years moved on.
  16. Yet somehow in the distant future they will claim a de facto National Championship for 2025.
  17. Goosby, McDonald, Kanu, Wisner.
  18. Didn’t he have an insanely low drop rate? I almost want to say he didn’t drop a pass.
  19. I won’t speak about other players, I didn’t watch them too much, but I know this. I’m not putting Simmons on any second team anything. He’s my first pick in the schoolyard if I’m team captain everyday all day . I don’t have to see the other guy to know this.
  20. No, keep the challenging non cons. When the CFP goes to 16 there will be several 3 loss teams and the SOS will matter more . Or win the games lol. We aren’t Notre dame cry babies. Let’s have some foresight for once.
  21. From my understanding that’s how they operate. He told me Citrus Bowl with us way before the CFP announcements. And I was like, “we aren’t making it?” FYI, I knew we weren’t. But he didn’t act like bowl stuff was projection, he just knew, if you know what I mean. It’s a differ t level of money for some people .
  22. I promise I’m not bragging. This is just for information purposes. I do know a HUGE Michigan donor. Thus my seats with him at the Texas game last year. Michigan kind of does stuff ahead of time. I think they might have someone. Or have already made those calls at least and vetted interest . That’s how they operate. I haven’t talked to him though. I’m pretty sure he knows what’s going on.
  23. He’s a great offensive line coach. Bring him on. ok, I kid, I kid. 😂
