  1. Only thing I can see that Wingo needs to do is play through contact when he is interfered with; he was too quick to throw up his hands instead of working back to the ball. Many of those fouls weren’t called and the ones that were gave us 15 yards, but would have been 20/40 yard receptions if caught.
  2. Jaime Ffrench, Kaliq Lockett, (end of year), Ryan Wingo, Aaron Butler, Jordan Washington, Parker Livingstone, and Deandre Moore.
  3. When Chuck Norris does a push up he’s not pushing himself up, he’s pushing the earth down. So I imagine his water will cut through a kidney stone like a river through the Grand Canyon. Celis White Indio Margarita rocks with Jose Cuervo Reserva de la familia extra anejo
  4. So confused. He pushed it back, and then committed immediately to SMU??!
  5. Currently resides in the mobile command center.
  6. Used to be all country out to Seward junction.
  7. Chris Beard? Too soon? Is there a McDonalds between here and Mississippi?
  8. As Vince would say, Austin, Texas baby! Went to Dobie Junior high, then across town to McCallum High school until 4 of my friends as seniors all transferred to Hyde Park to play sports our last year of high school. Two of my friends from Round Rock high and a friend from Westwood all transferred in to play football and baseball together at Hyde Park our Senior year of high school. Two of those guys went on to play baseball at Baylor, and I played football at Baylor. Texas said I wasn’t quite tall enough even though I was all state in football. However, my dad went to UT and I grew up going to UT football, basketball, and baseball games with my dad as a child. Couldn’t get that fandom out of me. I even root for Texas against Baylor. My brother, who is also a Baylor grad, gets mad at me for that! 😂
  9. Ok, I know you’re not telling us. But would this “Hi” someday make Sarks all 5 star class? Simple follow up question, and if so, WHAT IS HIS NAME!?
  10. Money ball move. Statistcally might pan out in the long run.
  11. That sucks. Hopefully can still be a veteran presence in the dug out.
  12. Barring injury, they’re going to get a Big surprise! Collin Simmons opposite Trey Moore (at times), Ethan Burke, and Colton Vasek isn’t going to be second team anything. However, not complaining, nice list.
  13. Hope they are favored though. Get your line now if you are a better.
  14. Right, I agree it wasn’t common, but there was Michael Vick and Randall Cunningham that had success. So there was some precedent, but your right most of the NFL back then would have coached Mahomes out of the side angle throws and ruined him as well. Fischer would have been the worst. He was very rigid and didn’t want Vince in the first place, so he didn’t even try to maximize his talent.
  15. Yeah, Jeff Fischer did not have the foresight or innovation to adapt an offense to a QB like Vince. If he would have thought outside the box a little, he might have had a Lamar Jackson type QB way before the Ravens. Mack had been Laissez-faire with Vince and let him play. In the NFL you can’t really do that in a sense, but the off schedule play is almost undefendable with Vince. There could have been some options to use Vince’s strengths and less rigidity. Fischer never wanted Vince, and he cut off his nose to spite his own face by being a jerk, and it does go both ways, Vince didn’t necessarily respond so well.
  16. So true, if you would have told me that Matt Leinart and Vince Young wouldn’t last in the league, and Kyler Murray and Jaylon Hurts would become franchise QBs I would have said you were crazy, but it’s nice to give useless opinions.
  17. i’ve always thought what a great job that would be to be a career backup. Of course the dream would be to start and make the 100s of millions over a career, but to have low hits on your body from NFL defensive lineman and make millions is surely a success in my mind. And you are trusted with the minds and the teaching of our youth. My mom was a high school math teacher in Austin for 48 years. She touched so many lives, and not just in regards to Algebta. Thank you for being a teacher, and I consider that being a teacher for sure a success. And since you are a teacher, sorry I start sentences with the word and. 😂
  18. I agree, his biggest problem is his lack of pocket presence and escapability. I’m not so sure this can be taught, but some of that seems to be a mental thing. Maybe he can get better at the improv stuff and be serviceable or even bettwr.
  19. Quarterbacks seem to be hard to project. Some you think will do will well, don’t. Some you can’t imagine succeeding, are stars and lead teams to championships. I think Quinn Ewers legacy will be a product of the situation in which he gets drafted. I think we also forget that he graduated early from high school and his trajectory and skills can still go up. He has all the physical tools, but he needs his head right. Maybe some of the injuries got him out of sorts, and never let him become consistent? Thoughts?
  20. Fans seem to be portal crazy this offseason and are calling for experience at every position We can’t have insurance policies at every position in case of injury. Some people even wanted a QB?! 1. 2 questions, Where are you going to get these portal additions that want to come in experienced and be backups? If you prefer them to be starters (which if there is an outstanding talent with experience I understand) then when are the high level recruits that are sophomores and juniors we have going to get their experience? We are just to not play our own players again and then portal every year new experienced players that haven’t grown up in the system, because we have the same problem next year? 2. People forget portal goes both ways. We have a good balance at the moment of losing players that don’t hurt too bad. We aren’t guaranteed for this to continue if we get greedy. If we take players that are just as good and have just as much potential as our sophomores and juniors, we stand for those players that have waited and worked hard to leave. Then guess what? We still don’t have depth or insurance against injury. Then we lose good players from our own team that had multiple years left of eligibility for a one year wonder. 3. The staff has so far kept a nice balance of adding best available and bringing our younger players along that are ready to make their first starts. I trust they will keep this going. We don’t want to lose depth underneath and get dependent on the portal at multiple positions like we are at D tackle. 4. I’m writing this with a hat on indoors and wearing an uncollared shirt, and besides not knowing if I spelled uncollared right I plan on ending this sentence in a preposition. Oh wait, crap, even I can’t stand that.
  21. Deandre Moore and Wingo have better chemistry with Arch.
