When will Ace Whitehead be back?

Add Kelvin Banks to that list. His fall off is mind numbing. Playing the actual game of football against high level competition for four years should be what he is graded on, not an inch or two here or there. The players are in fact getting drafted to play football, right? Sheesh, some of these pundits should watch the tape. IMHO he is a franchise LEFT TACKLE that should go top 10.

He’s not coming back to coach, so just chill. Why can’t you guys just be gracious to the 70 or so year old man who did a lot for this university. His former football players have much more invested in this university than any of you, and they don’t hate. They respect the man.

I agree, I didn’t say it was wrong, but had enough of those guys. We just needed to shut it down. . We change pitchers differently during the weekend series, I get it, but we were allowing too many walks and hit batters at the end. Time to put those guys away. Glad it worked out, good win.

Just put Volantis in and let’s finish this nonsense. They’ve been throwing their best all night, and we are exploring pitching depth and saving our best.

Maybe that third baseman for Tx state can take off those shorts, and put on some real baseball pants now.

Wow, you’re right, didn’t know that . That’s interesting, I wonder how they determine cut off time for grad transfers since they don’t have to wait for portal opening and can transfer anytime. I guess just anytime after spring semester starts no SEC to SEC.

I think if the player is a grad transfer, they can play immediately even SEC to SEC.

Offer the potentiality of having a kid in football, baseball, volleyball, and softball (gender dependent) now, before house settlement goes down.

I have’t had that problem lately after renewing, but when I would click straight on video in the morning before, sometimes app would make me log in. Hasn’t happened again in about 3 weeks. Don’t know what the change has been.

Man we have some impressive young men. Nice heads on their shoulders and I feel like Sark is counseling these young men well through the NIL stage of football. I’m sure it goes back to the parents, but Sark and his coaches do a good job of vetting the high school recruits. I’ll never complain about the long process Texas takes.

I agree to disagree. You make a valid point, but a lot of QBs have thrown interceptions 1st year, see Peyton Manning, Colt McCoy or even VY. Especially since Mack (spellcheck) changed to an entirely new offense (mistake in my opinion and I thought so at the time). Don’t get me wrong, incredibly thankful for Mack and his service to the university, great man and leader of men, but that was an overreaction to losing to Alabama I think, and a mistake. And as far as Gilbert is concerned, I just feel like he could have been coached up into the new system and given a little more time. Mack is a good enough talker he could have sold it and kept his job. He was also one year removed from being in the national championship, he was safe. And Case and Ash were not better, see NFL career.

I think Mac gave up on Garrett Gilbert too early when the fanbase turned on him. Also, Mac got scared and changed the whole offense at the wrong time. Gilbert had spent a year learning West Coast and had to switch, then when he threw interceptions in a basically new offense, he was unfairly not coached up and through it. He ended up being an NFL QB in the end for a bit.

Don’t mess with Texas. Literally, a motto. Why go there.

Man, I was hesitant to jump on the wagon this year, but I’m starting to believe (barring anymore injuries) we’ve got us a really good baseball team! I mean World Series good! Thought we would make progress this year, but still be a couple of years away. However, the pitching seems to be catching up to the hitting, and our lineup is having mature at bats against good pitching. Could be a special team. Hope we get all our starters back in time for a run.

You think this is a stupid post? What a timely posting of the Simms interview of Sark. Watch that interview. Sark himself says character is what is different at Texas. And no, unless there is an immense change in his attitude, I do not think Texas would pursue Dakorian Moore in the portal if he entered. We recruit most commited players to the whistle, yet we backed off of him with his antics and the way he went about his commitment to Oregon. No one is tearing the kid down, happy with what we got instead, but his actions can be evaluated in a post. It points to the difference at Texas. And of course we wish him well, we shall see how it turns out up there in the Lanning experiment.

Texas is back because of character. All of the haters that posted on this thread can’t deny that. They just are probably too young to understand what’s going on. You are right Boxing. It is an objective truth that the collective culture of Texas has made it successful again. Football is a team sport. Maybe you can win in different ways, but I’m glad we are choosing to win in this way. Being confident is one thing, being self absorbed is another. I hope every kid does well, but I hope they also learn to give of themselves to the team. It’s not about them, especially when they haven’t done sh$t. If he works hard that’s great, keep your head down and work hard! That’s what my coaches would have said. Want an example of how this can go? They said Zach Evans was a hard worker too.
