  1. Then you would have lost Sark to Bama.... 10m is the market, it doesn't matter what you like or your preference is. If you want to keep a coach and think he's the guy for your program, which Sark has demonstrated by having our best season since 2009 then you're going to pay in that 10m range, period.
  2. Obviously...I wasn't talking about that though.
  3. At this point Texas should be aggressive as all get out. There is nothing to fear or repercussions to anything you do so long as you litigate the NCAA out of their "punishment." Any fear within the AD and compliance should be removed.
  4. There is not 134 schools in the plan that’s already in motion
  5. All the best are still playing in the bracket I posted. You have quite literally the top 11 teams in the country rounded out by the 5 best non p4 champions. So it's basically the 12 team format but instead of one g6 team you have 5.
  6. Okay so you'll have exactly as I descirbed: 4 highest ranked p4 conference champions 1-4 Next highest ranked teams 5-11 12-16 is seeded conference champs based on rankings Because they do it in FCS and no one complains such as you. They do it in CBB and no one complains. People love the upsets and when an upset happens it will be major news for the sport and talk shows about the sport. It will bring in more engagement from the CFB landscape across the country. Cinderella's are great stories and fun to watch even for casual fans.
  7. Because I based it off of 2023 and mistyped 2024 season. I was basing off of last years season and rankings. The board here doesn't give enough time to edit.
  8. For 2023 it was The 5 highest rated power 5 conference champions are seeded accordingly 1-5. 6-11 is highest ranked teams 12-16 is highest ranked conference champions by seeding You wouldn't rank Boise State a 5 seed in any circumstance in a tournament. For 2024 it would be: The 4 highest rated power 4 conference champions 1-4 5-11 would be highest ranked at large teams 12-16 would be highest ranked conference champions by seeding
  9. Okay then why are you commenting? It's all hypothetical anyway....it's a far better format than the 12 team current proposal and the 14 team potential proposal. It uses results from last year to give an idea of how it could look. The 5 highest rated conference champions are seeded accordingly 1-5. 6-11 is highest ranked teams 12-16 is highest ranked conference champions You wouldn't rank Boise State a 5 seed in any circumstance in a tournament.
  10. It's not off....it's taken from the CFP final rankings last year then using the AP "Also receiving notes" section to fill in the final seeds. You may seldom get a non p4 conference champ ranked higher ofc depending on the year(See Cincy from the year they made the CFP as a 4.
  11. That's why the game is played. You can stick to your "eye ball" test all you want but just play the games. You're argument that there is not enough spots is laughable. You are only putting aside 9 spots for conference champions moving forward. Four of those spots are power 4 conference teams. Then you essentially have a the top 7 of the rest starting in 2024. So you basically get all the top 10-11 teams a spot in the playoff plus rewarding conference champions from non p4 conferences.
  12. I can't edit this post but the bracket looks as follows: The first two rounds will be hosted on higher seed campus and the semi-final and finals will be played at rotation of NY6 bowl locations.
  13. They need to get to an even number to remove the byes. IMO 16 seems the best way to crown a true champion with all conference champions being invited then having an at large bids fill out the rest. Last years 10 conference champions and potential 6 at large bids: AAC - SMU ACC - FSU BIG - Michigan Big 12 - Texas CUSA - Liberty MAC - Miami(OH) Mountain West - Boise State PAC 12 - Washington SEC - Alabama Sun Belt - Troy At Large1 - Georgia At large2 - Ohio St At Large3 - Oregon At Large4 - Missouri At Large5 - Penn State At Large6 - Ole Miss The at large bids are highest ranked non conference champions in order. Obviously next year it will be 9 conference champions with 7 at large bids.
  14. The minimum regular season we should be shooting for is 10-2. Most years, IMO, 10-2 gets you into the CFP. I'll have to determine what we consider post season success after a few years of the new format. If you're constantly making it and getting bounced in the 1st round then that's basically just the Dallas Cowboys and not successful.
  15. LT and those around there did a good job of sweeping this under rug and keeping it quiet. You would have had to known to know if that makes sense. it’s also not a good look of the prospects mom threatening people on the internet with lawsuits because they’re mentioning her sons name or recruiting profile when talking about this.
  16. Kind of bizarre considering our HC is a "pitching specialist" type.
  17. In this new setup, bowls would cease to exist and there would be a 8-16 team playoff only IMO. You're also going to want to field a great basketball tournament because march madness is a HUGE money maker as well. You don't get that with just 48 teams.
  18. No, screw every Big 12 team.
  19. That is a better concern than having too few like we had with Herman with only 9 offensive linemen and 17 WRs.
  20. Official renderings just dropped.
  21. Would be cool to have him on the show with Rod one evening.
  22. I love the Johnny Unitas story where he breaks his nose, goes to the sidelines get a quick look, rubs dirt in to stop the bleeding, then proceeds to throw a touchdown.
  23. You're using a Twitter.com link to a tweet instead of the updated X.com or you have to give it a second to load the tweet into the reply box before hitting submit.
  24. It is still wild to be that high school teams in the state have had better indoor practice facilities than us for the past 10 or so years. Thankfully we're finally upgrading.
  25. It's going to be CJ but honestly it should be Puka.
