  1. It won't be rare with the rule changes moving forward and you can't look at the past as reasoning why it's rare. There might be 3-4 guys who reach 50 and you're amazed by the 50 number when Elly has 60+ while Jose Caballero would already have 50 if he didn't miss games. As you can see, it is not rare as we've had 5 players in 2 years do it with rule changes. Now here is the leaders in 2022 before rule changes.
  2. @Blake Munroe
  3. Not anymore with recent rule changes.
  4. To be devils advocate to your devils advocate, hitters today aren't swinging tree trunks except for Aaron Judge haha! I always find this kind of video interesting. Mechanically Babe Ruth was a great hitter regardless of era. Adjustments for the era your in would be key but mechanically he's great.
  5. I think you could make a point for any of these guys: Barry Bonds Babe Ruth Willie Mays Colt Munroe With regards to Ohtani, it will come down to longevity and how long he can do both at the high standard he's currently doing them. Also I'll have a hard to putting him in the category above due to his gambling controversy. I don't buy that interpreter non sense at all.
  6. TIL Bellville is a great wing/slot t team now. Crazy
  7. a lot of your concerns are going to be addressed with experience.
  8. Sounds like a QB controversy is brewing. Hopefully Sark makes the right decision so he doesn't lose the locker room.
  9. As you said even if he didn't slip it's still a completion but I'd go a step further....Wingo blows by him and it's still a touchdown. Look at this still images of the route from the all 22 Wingo is about to break across the field on this route and the defender is squared up. At this point he's already beat. He knows he's beat because his first move was to step in front of Wingo and disrupt the route vs turning and running. Wingo is such a strong player and runner that he just runs through that contact and pushes defender down. If defender doesn't step in front of Wingo he's still wide open IMO by like 10-15 yards because of defender positioning at break of route. My screenshots include the yard markings and as you can tell this all happens within 10 yards.
  10. College football and QB rushing stats are very weird in how they're scored by statisticians because sacks count toward rushing totals. IMO what would help clear this up is not counting "sack" as a rushing stat for QBs in college.
  11. I get that package free through Verizon except it's just basic Hulu, ESPN+ and Disney+.
  12. Schools like Arkansas, Ole Miss, Bama, etc are offering scholarships around the 50% threshold as well for those suburban kids in what was the 7-10% range of Texas kids who didn't get into A&M or Texas. They're bolstering their academics by doing so but results probably won't show for at least a decade. Another note that it seems like the best strategy to get in is take as many AP courses at a larger school then transfer into a rural school, if one is close enough by. Not sure how good of a strategy that would be but if your kid really wants into UT it seems like a decent one.
  13. I, for one, enjoyed Sark's focusness without having to worry about a wife.
  14. IMO Florida right now is a pigsty with their current university president issues and an AD that probably won't be there in another year or so. Absolutely not a good job to take right now.
  15. Before they inexplicably take him out after leading the Gators to a field goal.
  16. Hats off to Ewers working hard to go from week to week to day to day in such a short amount of time. 🙏
  17. Just a friendly reminder that the last time the Texas A&M Fighting Aggies were ranked #1 in a poll was 1957.
  18. @Gerry Hamilton
  19. The crazy part about last nights concussion is that it wasn't even a hard hit or his head bouncing off the ground like others. It was just a basic routine tackle and his body tensed up like that from the concussion.
  20. How many bad concussions are we going to have to see him have before he does the smart thing and retires?
