    10-3 was also razor thin to being 11-1 if Arch could make some layups against Ohio Star or if we didn’t decide to spy a hobbled Florida QB who threw 5 interceptions the week before. This stuff works both ways.

    How is this different from any other program? Most head coaches have final say and don’t let assistants do whatever they want. Using this logic would mean no assistant coach at any program is worthy of criticism because the head coach always has final say and that’s just not the way it works. And I say that as someone who is far from being completely out on Flood. I know that coaches are far from perfect.

    I’m not exactly sure what Missouri’s plan was at QB but I do not feel like they significantly upgraded from what they had when everyone was healthy in 2025. I’m surprised Tennessee didn’t bring in a transfer Jared Curtis is going to have a tough welcome to the SEC with what Vandy lost at the skill spots.

    There is nothing Brooks showed on the actual football field to make him a NFL prospect right now. Does it mean he could eventually be one? Sure. But at some point the high school ranking needs to be placed to the side when we start seeing actual on-field production.

    It happens to every team, but there has been quite a bit of time and resources wasted on offensive lineman with questionable mental evals the last few years, then throw in that we let Felix Ojo play us like a fiddle for half the recruiting cycle while other dudes went elsewhere.

    I remember those who freaked out 3 days into this thing, mocked being all-in and wanted us to bring in backup options from Toledo because they were scared. The pride and winning tradition of the University of Texas will not entrusted to the weak or the timid.

    Based on some of the background provided about his recruitment, it sounds like he may have asked for a suite at the Four Seasons, asked for Sark's office to be turned into his personal locker room, wants his family on a private jet to all away games and the opportunity to ride Bevo as the team runs out on the field.

    Valdin Stone is currently in HS, Isaiah Gibson recorded 1 tackle this year and Amaris Williams recorded 9 tackles at Auburn this year. Jaime Ffrench was also a 5 star in HS if we wanted to list those rankings next to players.

    What they are doing isn't any different than most programs. Look at the numbers teams like LSU, Georgia, Bama are bringing in from the portal. They won't be fully utilizing the 105 scholarships either.

    Fickell put in a good word for Ohio State as Alliegro was walking out the door. This would be an impressive win for the good guys if we pulled it off.

    Not sure if you’ve noticed but college football has changed just a tad the last 3 years since he said that.

    CJ Baxter made more money in 3 years here than some will make in a lifetime. And he contributed in 1 of the years.
