  1. It doesn’t. I was just responding to the original premise that Texas Tech is going to win the Kavian Bryant recruit because they negatively recruited Quinn Ewers draft position.
  2. Brother, you can try to convince yourself otherwise but most of these decisions are money driven. Miami is going to try to tell a HS QB to not trust Texas’ development when Miami has had to go to the portal 3 straight years for a QB? Before Sayin, Ohio State had 3 straight cycles where they QB signee transferred. None of these schools have pristine track records. It’s college football. Trying to say Texas had a QB “only” go in the 7th round of the NFL draft is a waste of time.
  3. Kavian Bryant is headed to the notable NFL QB development factory at……..Texas Tech. I’d love to see what that negative recruiting pitch looked like. I bet it involved a lot of brochures in the mail from Cody Campbell.
  4. OU willingly benching Arnold to make Hawkins the starter last year is a little different than the situations they faced in 2022 and this year.
  5. Is it a feature under Sark, or is it a feature of being at Texas? In the last 15 years, we have never once ranked better than 40th in penalties. Here is some years further back than what you listed: 2020- 116th (8.2) 2019- 115th (7.3) 2018- 109th (7.4) 2017- 106th (7.1) 2016- 102nd (7.1) 2015- 79th (6.4) 2014- 65th (5.9) 2013- 45th (5.2) 2012- 40th (5.2) 2011- 81st (6.5) -Texas gets officiated differently from other teams, whether intentionally or unintentionally. We went the entire 2023 season with 1 accepted holding penalty against our opponent in Big 12 play. 15 years in a row being one of the most penalized teams in the country under 4 different coaches. That isn't just a coincidence. -Timing of penalties. On Saturday, 3 of our 9 penalties were on the final offensive drive with third-stringers in the game. 4 of our 12 penalties against SJSU came on the final two drives with backups in the game. A lot of the miscues have been at the very beginning or very end of games. -Penalties are up across the country. Last year, only 26 total teams averaged more than 7 penalties a game. Currently, 49 teams are averaging 7 or more penalties. -All you can do is try to emphasize it the best you can. There isn't a magic wand.
  6. A twitter account that tweets about OTF and posts the exact same stuff you do on here. What a coincidence. You are free to have your own opinions, but stop the lying. You have never supported nor been a fan of Steve Sarkisian. Vs
  7. @CJ Vogel Do you have one of these charts from late last season (or the end of the season)? It would be interesting to compare where these teams finished last year vs where they are starting entering the beginning of conference play.
  8. I’m all for disagreements and different points of view, but please don’t lie. We’ve all seen you post across multiple message boards over the years after any loss on the field or on the recruiting trail. Let’s also not forget you blamed Sark for not playing Arch Manning last year and have now turned around to blame him for how Arch Manning looks.
  9. It’s impossible to excuse Sark when you shove this same stat down our throat every day here and on Twitter. A Kyle Flood thread and you still find a way to tie it back to your hatred of the head coach. You’ve been calling for the guy to be fired since the day he was hired.
  10. Yes, CJ, please use your press conference question in week 4 of the season to ask Sark if he plans on firing his OL coach. I’m sure that will get a great response full of valuable information to share with the board.
  11. You just had DJ Lagway throw 5 interceptions and only scored 20 points at home. A week after you scored 23 points against Louisiana Tech. It was a legitimate and valid question and Kelly had no right to blow up on the dude like that. The biggest issue I see is a lot of coaches think the media and reporters asking them questions should be fanboys and bow down after every game.
  12. Kelly calling the reporter “spoiled” like the media is supposed to root for the program and their success. It was a completely valid question. LSU has scored 17, 23 and 20 points through 3 games despite returning of the best QB’s in the country. Their rushing game is an averaging awful 3.7 yards per carry.
  13. Trust us, you remind us the coaches need to be better every chance you get. We know you don’t like them.
  14. So we could give Arch Manning an extra few seconds in the pocket to skip it at his receivers feet or throw it in the stands?
  15. Defense- 8 returning starters (Simmons, Guilbeau, Muhammad, McDonald, Taaffe, Lefau, Hill, Burke, Moore). Offense- 3 returning starters, two of which aren't even playing this weekend (Wisner, Moore). DJ Campbell is the only starter this weekend who also started the Ohio State game last January. It's been two games. Let it play out.
  16. OU was not a top 10 team in 2023. They were ranked 12th.
  17. He never told us about Quinn Ewers being hurt? The guy didn’t play in 3 games. That’s kind of self explanatory.
  18. We likely cover yesterday if Gibson doesn’t cough up the ball. Sark even made a point of mentioning postgame that he wanted the second string guys running the real offense and wasn’t just going to take knees on the final drive. As is the case most of the time when a line is 35+ points, the ability to cover is probably going to come down to if your second and third string can execute late in the game. Will be the same this coming Saturday.
  19. Why are people trying to continue to make this a thing? He wouldn’t be playing halfway into the 4th quarter against San Jose State if he was hurt. Period.
  20. If I’m not mistaken, Texas was playing with 5 man boxes at times. Zero respect or concern with SJSU’s running game. All about stopping the pass.
  21. Gerry when Texas scores 6 touchdowns from the 21-yard line tomorrow
  22. If enough people get upset, the pocketbooks will open up. It's Alabama. They have motivated donors who care. A lot.
  23. His buyout is structured so that they would have to pay him in equal monthly installments through 2031. That isn't as burdensome as the buyouts where coaches are due a lump sum right away or within 30 days. The ability to spread out the payments could make it more realistic that he is let go. I do think if they miss the playoffs this year, he will likely be shown the door. Whether fair or not.
  24. San Jose State allowed 12 sacks the entire season last year. I don't think they are going to allow Eget to sit back there and go through progressions. Their offense isn't built that way. He threw 7 passes last week 20+ yards down the field and most of them are just go balls. They are actually going to test our secondary a bit which is a good thing.
  25. There is nothing he can say in a press conference to make anyone feel better about the red zone. It’s going to have to happen on the field. And like the second statement out of his mouth today was something about everyone in the organization, coaches and players, learning and improving from that game. I get that’s not what you are looking for. You’ve made that pretty clear. It’s a college football head coach press conference after a loss so there is a narrow path to success.
