  1. At Ohio State San Jose State UTEP Sam Houston State Next year is set.
  2. You are seeing more and more UT graduates having to send their money to OSU, Arkansas, Ole Miss, etc. every year because their children can’t get in. It sucks to see, but I guess they have to draw the line somewhere. Those who truly want to be at Texas will do the CAP program or go to Austin community college for a couple semesters if they can’t get in out of high school.
  3. CSU played Northern Colorado last week, a FCS school that went 0-11 last year, and won by 21. CSU is below UTSA in pretty much every meaningful ranking/power rating (FPI, SP+, etc) It’s not some huge gap but UTSA has a few more individual good players than CSU. Traylor also coaches circles around Jay Norvell. A 52 point margin would be pretty surprising this week.
  4. I still think UTSA is better than Colorado State overall, but they are weak in the wrong places (QB, WR, OL, DB). Another concerning thing for UTSA is they are a tempo team. Their only shot at hanging in Saturday is to slow things down to a crawl and pray Texas turns the ball over a bunch. I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that Traylor sits all his banged up guys and just starts looking ahead to conference play.
  5. They subbed out the first team LB’s the last few Michigan drives, which were 13 and 8 plays. So 21 total plays in garbage time. Actually 22 plays if you include the 1-play drive that ended in an INT in the 4th quarter.
  6. OU played maybe the worst FBS team in the country and Arkansas played a FCS team who went 1-7 in the SWAC.
  7. You just have to ignore the act from that poster. It’s old but whatever.
  8. "I think that’s why we haven’t reached the grand pinnacle. Has to mean more. State on your chest family on your back." If you legitimately think this, it's not worth engaging in further discussion because that's called delusion. I guess if CJ Baxter had been from Texas, he wouldn't have fumbled in the playoff because it would have meant more to him, and we would be national champs, according to your logic.
  9. LOL This conversation isn't worth it.
  10. If you've been paying attention, this hasn't been a thing in about 10 years. The best from Florida, California and Louisiana have chosen to play for Texas in recent cycles. Is that okay with you?
  11. Increases the need for Aidan Anding.
  12. This my friends, is called a false narrative
  13. Ryan Niblett is 175 pounds soaking wet after a good meal at Kerby Lane. Moving him to RB solves nothing besides the premise of having another body, which sounds nice but he would never play since he does nothing the other guys at the position don’t already offer.
  14. Then why has Terry been quoted himself saying Texas is recruiting him on offense?
  15. Texas is 36-point favorites for a reason.
  16. Brother, it lays almost everything out in the OP. He wants to play college baseball this coming spring while participating in spring football.
  17. To me, that reads like a guy making a football decision with baseball on the side. Which is interesting.
  18. If he plays college baseball this spring, he is not eligible for the 2025 draft. This decision basically cements the fact he is going to college for 3 years.
  19. Non-Con SOS last year: Uconn- 283rd Houston- 226th Iowa State- 345th Duke- 199th Illinois- 260th Kentucky- 203rd Yet, Texas is held to some higher standard in your eyes. Upper echelon programs beat the crap out of bad teams because that is what NET rewards you for. Until they change that system, this is how it will be.
  20. It's funny how narratives work. People should compare the schedule for this upcoming year to this one from a few years ago.
  21. Let’s be honest with ourselves, there is no difference between beating Houston Christian by 35 vs beating Rice by 22. And if season ticket holders don’t like the schedule, they can feel free to transfer their tickets to UConn, A&M, OU, Arkansas, Kentucky and Tennessee over to my account.
  22. In a 13 game non conference schedule how many legitimate teams do you want them to play? They have Ohio State, Texas Tech and potentially Syracuse at neutral sites, NC State on the road and host the two time defending national champs at home. I get being upset with the home schedule, but they are playing more legitimate non con teams than many do, it’s just away from Moody.
  23. The way I see it, Texas played 3 real teams in non-con last year (Uconn, Marquette and LSU). This schedule will have at least 5, including a marquee home matchup, which fans always want. Good overall schedule. Just make sure you beat the crap out of the teams you need to beat the crap out of to help your NET.
