I think someone posted that his pff grades were terrible and among the worst on Ole Miss

Appreciated the shoutout on the livestream yesterday, @Gerry Hamilton 🫡 It’s been a fun and chaotic ride in the portal threads.

That’s all well and good, but I will take an experienced all big-10 level guard who started every game on their natty team. But I guess if the coaches haven’t pushed hard for him, maybe they like other guys better.

@Gerry Hamilton @Bobby Burton I mentioned this in another thread but are you surprised they haven’t tried to bring in the Ohio State RG for a visit? He was all big-10 this year and apparently wants to play in the SEC. He’s visited 4-5 SEC schools already.

He already visited Auburn, Ole Miss, and Kentucky. How the hell have we not brought him in yet?

I hadn’t even seen that this dude was in the portal: https://247sports.com/player/tegra-tshabola-46083974/college-285769/ third team all big 10 this year, coming from Ohio State. I’m really surprised we haven’t heard anything about him or that Texas wouldn’t be interested in him.

Meanwhile, inside the portal palace…

If I’m Sark, I want another bite at the apple with Mikey Bennett. Get word to him that Texas is about to have an elite offense and he can be part of that. Present him a new case beyond the money and the campus and UT that he’s not likely to find, even at Oregon and Indiana. He’s not gonna be blocking for a better qb and two better RBs anywhere. That seems like an important differentiator

@Gerry Hamilton we are going to hold you to your word if Coleman commits today

And he seems to have figured that out already, hence letting a bunch of young players walk

@Gerry Hamilton keeps bringing up the stat on Biles that he’s the first player in 18 years to have 15 tackles, 4 TFL, and a TD in the same game. But the crazy thing is that he almost did it TWICE last year. In another game, he had 12 tackles, 4 TFL, and a pick six. That’s some Luka triple double type stuff.

Definitely don’t like that we let Bennett leave without closing.

I haven’t seen anything to support this. Not saying you’re wrong—he very well might not come to Texas. But the reporting has been pretty quiet on him.

Correct, but the difference is that the OL wanted a reason to stay at Michigan. Uluave has no specific ties to that school. So money whipping is more likely to work with him. Not saying it will work, but gotta give him a lot to think about before choosing Michigan.

My one concern with Uluave is that he’s a Utah guy originally. There’s likely to be a comfort factor with Whittingham that might be tough to overcome. This is why we need to be sure we significantly outbid Michigan.

NIL will not be a problem. Texas can afford both.

I still don’t get it. I feel like Cam is just keeping everyone guessing and has already decided where he’s going (and I suspect it’s Texas). His. #1 reasoning for leaving Auburn was qb situation and putting himself in a good position for the draft. Auburn was throwing money at him, so that’s clearly not the biggest concern. He can get $$$$ pretty much anywhere. Why would he choose a completely unproven qb at Alabama? I just don’t buy it.

I bet it happens

it’s breakfast taco day at the portal house! Dig in, @CJ Vogel!

Late morning! Those breakfast tacos must be sitting pretty heavy right now
