Sark, bringing in Smothers under Bama’s nose to pair with Brown after everyone’s been clowning him for the last week

Thanks for the response. Other than the Michigan game, he had a hard time breaking 4 YPC. Even in the UM game, you take out his 49 yard run and he’s only averaging 4.6. Totally get that there might be mitigating circumstances like bad OL play and injuries, but I just don’t see him as elevating the room.

Why? He feels like a downgrade of both Wisner and Baxter. But I admittedly didn’t watch much MSU football. Unless their plan is to just find a stopgap while they bring Cooper along slowly

Feels like a replacement for Barnes

Not necessarily. Uluave also entered with no contact and he’s had multiple visits. I think it just means that his agent will reach out to schools, not the other way around.

Okay that’s just downright hilarious

I donated $20 to the CJ taco fund. I, however, am not feeling very good now. Took one for the team. You’re welcome, @CJ Vogel

Do you view Cryer as a potential replacement for Barnes?

Makes Haynes all the more critical

How dare you bring back the photo that convinced the board that Woods was a “hi”. How dare you.

the possibilities were endless 😢

Bobby said something like “of note” which is Bobby speak for “Texas will be interested”

Not just that—does Lacy really want to stay at Ole Miss with a new OC and completely uncertain QB situation? I know he agreed to a new deal, but could this cause him to open back up?

@Gerry Hamilton and his son lil’ Joe have arrived! It’s a pool party in Phoenix!

I think you’re right. Richardson would have been a serious upgrade over D Moore in the slot and he’s a local kid. So your logic makes perfect sense to me

FWIW, TOS is reporting that Richardson was never actually going to visit Texas and that the coaches never tried to bring him in—that, at this point, they are just focusing on Coleman. If true, it would be the first truly overt example of a player trying to leverage Texas to get another team to increase the NIL. Not saying it hasn’t happened elsewhere, eg Michigan OL. But nothing this blatant, in which the player told everyone he was visiting Texas when the coaches weren’t even inviting him. Don’t know if this is what OTF has heard, but again, that’s the reporting from another site.

Agreed. Maybe he got a second day grade and wants to shoot for top of the draft? No idea but it is odd.

Good depth and developmental piece. Feels like a replacement/upgrade of Kibble.

Should’ve added Cam! Haynes announced he’s entering the portal.

Damn you, OTF. I have a damn deadline today and yet here I am at the portal house surrounded by sickos. Yall are gonna get me in trouble at work.

Reviving this thread for a little wish-casting. If I told you we could finish with Brown + Bo Jackson or Haynes at RB, Uluave + Biles at LB, Kutas + Yale OL, and Gregory, how would you feel? Would all the early misses be forgiven? What if we finish with half of these players?
