  1. Yes, they are a really good team. But they’ve been in shootouts or close games most of the year and MSU has been a very tough out. I thought for sure MSU would be able to drive the ball against that Georgia D, which doesn’t get pressure and can be had in the secondary. None of that really occurred. Georgia’s ability to run the ball really changed the game.
  2. I honestly did not expect Georgia to go to Starkville and do THAT. No looking ahead to Texas, no trap game—just domination. That is going to be an incredibly tough game in Athens. Sure hope we’ve fixed some things in the secondary.
  3. Indiana better be careful. I know Penn St sucks, but they have a better defense and better athletes than IU has seen all year. They might mess around and find out.
  4. Do you have a sense for how Texas donors, AD, and football staff view Tech throwing money at players? I would imagine it’s starting to feel less like an obnoxious mosquito and more like being covered in a thousand leeches (or, since it’s Tech, Leaches).
  5. Throw in YouTube videos of bugs fighting to the death and paint drying, and I’m in for the marathon!
  6. Yeah, but we said the same thing about the Kentucky and MSU defenses, both of which hammered Arch. Hopefully Sark and Flood figured some things out last week that will carry through against a Georgia D that clearly has problems creating havoc.
  7. Agreed, but PK and Akina need to clean up these bad secondary performances from the last two weeks. Georgia can put up points and I don’t think we want to be in a shootout with them in Athens. That’s not a good position for us to be in.
  8. They could certainly do it. Georgia can’t get pressure on anyone and struggles against offenses with speed that can push the ball down the field. Something tells me Lebby is gonna have some stuff in store for that Georgia D.
  9. We need Georgia to squeak out a win against Miss St to ensure they’re still top 5 when we play them, but it would be great if MSU bloodies them up a bit. Let them be bruised and exhausted while we rest for a week.
  10. This is the first time since Ohio State that the national sports media is acknowledging that Texas could be for real if they put it all together. There’s an opening for Texas to seize hold of that narrative in Athens and become the center of the college football world again. If Texas beats Georgia on the road, it will drown out every other story in CFB. Suddenly, there will be a hurricane of momentum behind Texas and the resume will look incredibly formidable with wins against 3 ranked teams. Sark needs to get his guys ready to play the game of their lives, because Georgia is hard to kill—especially at home. The O-line looked really good against Vanderbilt, but they have STRUGGLED on the road this year. They need to dominate the LOS. If they lose, the season is more or less over. But if they win, the entire narrative about this team completely changes. The Tom Fornellis and Danny Kanells of the world are suddenly singing a different tune. And in the CFP era, perception is everything.
  11. Yeah, it’s odd how little they want to do with Texas. I suspect that might change if we go to Athens and win in two weeks.
  12. I seem to remember a bunch of Ags last year whining about our schedule, no matter the fact that ours was harder than theirs. But this year it’s a complete joke. “Dang SEC will do anything to protect the sips.” I guess all those years praying to dead dogs finally paid off for them.
  13. Even if it means you lose some good players to the portal, Coleman is worth it. That’s a top-5 WR in the nation. A true difference maker. Pay $2 million if you have to.
  14. Texas needs to pay Coleman whatever it takes. Imagine a WR room with Coleman, Wingo, Mosley, Livingstone, and maybe Moore coming back.
  15. He hasn’t snorted his weekly powdered mayo yet. Once that happens, we won’t hear from him until Tuesday.
  16. All the pundits, the fans, the haters who all built him up and then tore him down are completely disingenuous. It was THEIR confirmation bias that led them to make unrealistic, unfair predictions about Arch. I bought into it to some degree as well after seeing him light it up last year. But it was sheer stupidity that led all of us to believe Arch was somehow immune from the same learning curve that literally every single QB has ever had to experience. Sheer stupidity. And it’s sheer arrogance (and stupidity) that’s now leading the same people to tear him down. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: it makes zero sense to pre-judge Arch’s cfb career until the end of 2026.
  17. What ridiculous narrative are haters like Danny Kanell and Tom Fornelli (“somebody please knock Texas out so that I don’t have to watch them in the CFP”) going to concoct when Texas beats a top-10 team and just keeps winning? 24-14 Texas
  18. Lane has a little bit of that Pirate in him and I am here for every minute of it, especially when it comes at the expense of Mr. Burnt Vegetables Skeletor and his toothless band of meth heads.
  19. He has a little bit of that Pirate in him.
  20. If we’re being real, Sark is probably coming to the realization that he can’t be the coach he wants to be in college and win at the highest level. He’s always said he’s “obsessed” with the job, but the lack of attention to this roster in the offseason suggests a strong whiff of complacency. I think he’s probably realizing that he’s taken this program as far as he can. And if we’re being real, he probably has. I’m grateful for Sark—he brought this program back to near greatness. But we might need fresh blood to get to the promise land. Marcus Freeman is definitely the answer if we can get him.
  21. Sark isn’t even in the same league as Pete Carroll. If Sark was Pete Carroll, he might already have 1-2 natties.
  22. This might be the most disturbing thing he said: “But at the end of the day, it's like we can have high scoring games and I could air it out and lose.” Ah, yes. The brilliant strategy to not score points because we could lose if we scored points. This dude is in such deep denial about how badly he’s screwed up this season. An elite defense is the only thing separating this team from a losing record.
  23. CJ watching Mateer on that first drive
  24. Looks like Gerry’s Cuban doppelgänger, Geraldo.
