  1. He was on the all-SEC freshman team in 2023 and had a good year this season.
  2. First team was David Bailey and Cashius Howell. I think Simmons is better than either of them, but I can at least understand it. Second team was John Henry Daley (okay, I get it…he had a ton of production this year) and Rueben Bain. Bain makes NO sense. They clearly wanted to reward his career, not his season. The dude had 4.5 sacks!!!! Great talent, but Simmons had a demonstrably better year. Third team was Caden Curry (I get it, awesome player, but they are clearly rewarding him for being a senior) and some dude from Western Michigan with 14.5 sacks (let’s see him do it against P4 competition). You can rationalize all their selections, but the reality is that it’s a joke.
  3. I agree with this. Lacy is a potential homerun, but I think we need a bigger, more bruising back to pair with Wisner (assuming he comes back). If Wisner goes pro, maybe Cooper can fill that bruiser role, in which case maybe we target Lacy.
  4. OTF has totally nailed this market. The videos are short, digestible, informative, but also funny and engaging. It’s all Texas all the time. The information is well-sourced without being reactive or rumor-mongering. The mods/show hosts are professional and laser-focused on their unique product. Not going to bash other sites by name, but they are all some combination of off-topic, corny, boring, unappealing personalities, lazy reporting, or toxic. I’ve tried them all and this is far and away the best place to be. As long as Bobby and team keep this site going, I’ll be a subscriber for life.
  5. @Bobby Burton @Gerry Hamilton not asking you to share any behind the scenes information, but just curious—who do you think would be a better fit for the Texas offense and upgrade the RB position the most, Lacy or Baugh?
  6. refreshing Hayes, Matt Zenitz, Chris Hummer, and Pete Nakos all day
  7. You have our attention. GO ON….
  8. Sark to Juluke during the interview
  9. You literally just said that you doubt the coaches would pursue this player (who, according to PFF, is one of the best guards in the SEC). So apparently you know just as well as the coaches do. I think that contradicts your argument. Also, according to your logic, the coaches shouldn’t have pursued Brevard in the portal since he played on a horrible Purdue D-line and shouldn’t have pursued Mosley since he played on an inept Stanford passing offense and shouldn’t pursue any high school recruits that played on bad teams. You do realize that really good players can play on bad teams, right?
  10. This is a very silly argument. Connor Williams and Sam Cosmi were both 2nd rounders that played on some fairly dismal Texas offensive lines. It is possible to be a really good lineman who happens to play with a bunch of scrubs.
  11. Yep, that seems like a no-brainer. Exactly the sort of IOL we are likely to target. He’s also a Kyle Flood archetype at 6’2 340.
  12. He had a sack against us.
  13. He, Wisner, and Cooper would all offer very complementary skillsets. That would be a damn good three-headed monster, with Simon and Clark being wild cards with upside.
  14. Joke’s on YOU, because it’s gonna be 82 and sunny in Santa Monica today.
  15. We will be fine at edge, but it definitely sucks knowing that he will presumably go to A&M or Tech or Georgia and turn into a monster. 🙄
  16. He would be fantastic in a Keilan Robinson role.
  17. He and Barnes look like serious takes at DB.
