  1. I thought Texas moved the ball the easiest all day in 12 personnel, specifically the first drive out of halftime. I wouldbe really interested in seeing what the plays per snap were for Texas when Juan Davis was on the field.
  2. Not all bad from Kelvin Banks who absolutely obliterates the UGA CB when pulling for a screen.
  3. That clip above is a heck of a hesi move from Williams. Does just enough to freeze Banks and the quickness beats him around the loop.
  4. Kelvin Banks just gets beat here by Mykel Williams. Strip sack fumble. Georgia ball. Ewers was going to the far right WR who had a step on a stumbling CB. I believe this was 4th down.
  5. Georgia brings six. Texas has six to protect. RB gets blown backward immediately and Ewers gets flushed up the pocket. sack quickly follows. Texas RBs try in pass pro, they just aren’t very good at it. Mostly due to their frame. With Roschon Johnson, Jonathon Brooks and even CJ Baxter in the past, at least there was a larger body that defenders had to go through. Texas is hamstrung in that department currently.
  6. Here is where Quinn needs to be better. The pocket is there. Protection stood up. Ewers does not step into the pocket and remains too deep for his tackles’ pass set. You can see Kelvin Banks’ reaction that shows the frustration. Not a good rep from Ewers here.
  7. DJ Campbell and Cam Williams get split for immediate pressure on Arch Manning. Manning’s athleticism allows him to extend the play but to no avail.
  8. It's been the topic of the last 12 hours or so since the conclusion of the Texas-Georgia game. The Georgia defense dominated all evening with 28 total pressures on the quarterback – the most pressures allowed under Kyle Flood and Steve Sarkisian. Now, Quinn Ewers was not good. But the offensive line did nothing to help the cause. Even with Arch Manning coming into the game, there was consistent pressure on the quarterback. A few clips in pass protection that were essentially the story of the day for Texas.
  9. Probably won't do a whole lot. Atmosphere was tremendous and the defense played well. Wins and losses are one thing that fans put more stock in for games like this than recruits.
  10. It was not encouraging at all. Which makes this news a bit brigher.
  11. MRI still expected this afternoon, but overall a lot of optimism.
  12. A source tells me the initial diagnosis on DB Andrew Mukuba indicates just a sprain. We will hear from HC Steve Sarkisian on Monday, but this is great news for Texas and the DB room after losing DB Derek Williams for the year last week.
  13. Sarkisian was asked about the concern of the team going forward: "It was one game... We are not going to throw a pity party."
  14. Sarkisian credits Georgia's scheme and talent to get them in positions to back plays on the defensive side of the ball.
  15. On the decision to take Quinn Ewers out, Sarkisian has mentioned several times it is all about finding ways to recalibrate his mental and get him some time to refocus.
  16. Sarkisian is very clearly avoiding the word "benched" when discussing Quinn Ewers in the second quarter.
  17. Sarkisian says DB Andrew Mukuba has a knee that needs to be assessed. "We will get back to you on that."
  18. "Tonight wasn't our night running the ball."
  19. Sarkisian says it was not intentional for Jaydon Blue to not get a rush attempt. "The game got out of whack."
  20. Sarkisian says he does not know what specifically is causing slow starts offensively, but the staff will be checking on it and monitoring it.
  21. Sarkisian says he wasn't too surprised by what UGA came out and did defensively to start the game.
  22. Sarkisian calls the Georgia EDGE game elite. They were tonight that's for sure. "We were definitely in desperation mode and that's not where you want to be against good teams."
