  1. Awesome for Jake. He has been a heck of a representative for Texas and The University during his time on campus.
  2. Texas C Jake Majors has been named a finalist for the Campbell Award – designated to "recognizes an individual as the absolute best in the nation for his combined academic success, football performance and exemplary leadership." Sarkisian shared the news this morning with the team in the pre-practice team meeting.
  3. "He has an edge that their team feeds off of." DeBoer on QB Diego Pavia.
  4. Alabama QB Kalen DeBoer calls Pavia "slippery" and is understanding of the offense allows him to be successful with the confidence to run the offense within his control.
  5. Drinkwitz said it felt like 60% of the Vanderbilt snaps with the ball in Pavia's hands were "offscript" where his improvisation takes over.
  6. Drinkwitz added QB Diego Pavia does a tremendous job of adding some yards – meaning he turns 2nd & 8 into a 2nd & 5 or a 3rd & 6 into a 3rd & 3 which completely changes the complexion of the playbook and call on the ensuing snap.
  7. He has been off the injury report the last week and a half. By all means, he is healthy. I am not sure what the deal has been for him to be sidelined however.
  8. I believe it was a special teams rep. He is quickly rising up the DB depth chart due to the injuries at the position. Could be called upon this week
  9. Good point. Will come into play for the Longhorns
  10. A quick update to the 2024 Fr. redshirt tracker. Not many changes since the bye week. The next snap for Jordon Johnson-Rubell will burn his redshirt, but that is to be expected. Xavier Filsaime saw time on the field per the Texas Sports official tracker. TE Jordan Washington will burn his redshirt the next snap he sees as well.
  11. I wish I could give this comment a trillion upvotes.
  12. Suit yourself I guess.
  13. He wasn't good. He didn't help himself and was quick to checkdown. With that said. He was under constant pressure. Wide receivers did not create separation and there were some drops (3) that hindered the offense. Quinn has to be better, but I don't think you will see him perform worse than that remainder of the year. Texas must find a way to stretch the field vertically again with Quinn at QB.
  14. Did he though? Beck was horrible. A quarter of his yards came on a double reverse flea flicker – He had 41 pass attempts.
  15. If you want to get an almost All-22 breakdown of the Texas-Georgia game from the Texas offensive struggles, this is the video for you. There are some Carson Beck clips in it as well, if you want, just skip around those to the Ewers breakdown. What you will see is a great defensive scheme from Kirby Smart and tight coverage from UGA. A lot of show four, play three coverages and cover 2 man. Georgia rarely did not have two deep safeties on a presnap look, but did a great job of mixing coverages. Anyways, give it a watch for a different non-TV angle of the game.
  16. Texas got off script and trust Wisner and Blue more.
  17. Normally yeah, but regardless of who was on the field, when was there ever a Texas playmaker in space? that's more a credit to UGA defensively.
  18. A look at the snap counts for the Texas vs. Georgia game on both sides of the ball. *** Defensive Snap Counts Out of 71 defensive snaps. 71 – Anthony Hill Jr., Michael Taaffe 69 – Manny Muhammad, Jahdae Barron 53 – Trey Moore 50 – Alfred Collins, Jaylon Guilbeau, Barryn Sorrell 47 – Andrew Mukuba 41 – Vernon Broughton 40 – Jermayne Lole 37 – Liona Lefau 33 – Jelani McDonald 27 – Colin Simmons 25 – David Gbenda 19 – Bill Norton 18 – Ethan Burke 6 – Gavin Holmes 5 – Morice Blackwell Jr. – Trey Moore gets the most snaps of any EDGE rusher. Moore had two pressures. – Colin Simmons has seen 27 snaps in back to back games after seeing 40 against Miss State. – Ethan Burke appears to have fallen out of favor a little. He has only played more than 20 snaps in half the games this season and has not played in over 25 snaps this year. – I do wonder how much run JJR will get this weekend. Texas went to just a three man rotation with Michael Taaffe not coming off of the field at safety. Offensive Snap Counts Out of 80 possible snaps. 80 – Jake Majors, Kelvin Banks, Hayden Conner, Cameron Williams, Gunnar Helm 71 – Matthew Golden 69 – Quinn Ewers 54 – DJ Campbell 53 – Tre Wisner 50 – Isaiah Bond 45 – DeAndre Moore 38 – Ryan Wingo 31 – Jaydon Blue 27 – Juan Davis 26 – Cole Hutson 11 – Arch Manning 4 – Ryan Niblett 1 – Silas Bolden – This is the first time this season Gunnar Helm has played every single snap in a game. – No snaps for Jerrick Gibson, Johntay Cook and only one for Silas Bolden. – 50 snaps for Isaiah Bond on a bum ankle. – DJ Campbell gets 67.5% of the snaps at RG, about what we have seen so far this season.
  19. Georgia has a damn good defense. Quinn Ewers is still a very good quarterback. The overreaction to the UGA game is insane.
  20. Kentucky looked horrible this weekend against Florida. The Gators are a tougher team right now than Kentucky.
  21. Texas schedule looking much tougher than it did at the beginning of the season.
