  1. RB Jaydon Blue says he really contemplated a return to Texas in 2025 in the middle of the season. Says Coach Choice sat him down before the Texas A&M game and said if he ended the season off right, he would be headed to the NFL.
  2. Both Isaiah Bond and Jaydon Blue have said they are expecting to break the 4.21 40-yard dash record set by Xavier Worthy last year.
  3. Quinn Ewers says he will participate in all throwing sessions tomorrow. Matthew Golden and Isaiah Bond say they will both run the 40. RB Jaydon Blue says he will do the on-field drills as well.
  4. Ewers was asked which NFL QBs he likes to watch in the NFL: “I like to watch Matthew Stafford and Aaron Rodgers is always really fun to watch. I think he is the most talented arm – quarterback of all time. I also like to watch Jared Goff because I think he plays the game the right way and last year I thought Ben Johnson was a fun coordinator to watch.”
  5. Isaiah Bond says he has clocked a 4.23 before in Combine prep.
  6. Golden also shouted out WR Silas Bolden, saying he was the one Longhorn not at the Combine that folks need to watch in Austin for the Pro Day on March 26.
  7. Matthew Golden was great on the mic today. WR Matthew Golden says Jahdae Barron was the best cornerback he went against this season. “I know he is the best corner in this draft.”
  8. Quinn Ewers, Matthew Golden, Isaiah Bond and Jaydon Blue to speak today at the Combine.
  9. lol, there was a lot of conversation today about Gunnar Helm and the Broncos. Obviously being from near Cherry Creek, Helm said he grew up at Broncos fan and had a very solid formal meeting with the Broncos front office, which included Sean Payton and the Broncos GM.
  10. 4.68 2nd attempt at the 40 for Barryn Sorrell. Great time for him.
  11. 4.72u 40-yard dash for Barryn Sorrell in his first attempt.
  12. 34.0-inch vertical for Texas EDGE Barryn Sorrell.
  13. Alfred Collins has certainly helped his case to go day two with his on-field performance so far today. Moving as well as he does at 332 pounds continues a Texas DL trend of recent combines (Sweat, Murphy, Ojomo, Coburn). I would have him projected to go anywhere from picks 50–70 at the moment. Back end of R2.
  14. Alfred Collins had a great run through on the Wave Drill – the broadcast singled him out for moving so well at 332 pounds.
  15. Appreciate that Joe Z! First Combine has been a blast so far.
  16. That would be my bet. Honestly, a big bummer. I was really excited to see Collins perform in the 40. I think he was going to turn some heads.
