  1. Yep I agree it’s his third year on campus this is big boy college football it’s time to pull your Huggies up off your ankles and play football. The pride and winning tradition of the University of Texas will not be entrusted to the weak nor the timid. That means you, Arch.
  2. As of today I’m not sure we beat Kentucky or MSU but agree with the rest.
  3. We just haven't signed the same kinds of players (high school recruiting or portal) on the offensive side as the defensive. And when there have been holes on D, like the dreaded awful DT recruited position it was shored up big time with portal aquisitions. It wasn't hard to see the lack of depth or starting experience on Offense coming out of last season. Especially at WR, RB and OL. Not many OL other than Goosby were making a name for themselves in practices last year and we couldn't run the ball against great teams last season. Yet we stuck with the same OL, the same RBs, and chose to only add one WR. (It doesn't help that he hasn't taken a single snap yet) A few of us kept wondering why we were finally entering the much anticipated "Arch Era" and we didn't put the effort or resources into a stronger OL for him, an elite RB transfer to take pressure off the pass coverage, or a WR1 to stretch the D like Quinn had with Worthy/AD/Golden/Bond, etc. At this point it is what it is. The only three elite traits we might reach on offense are Sark's play design, Arch's upside if we just go Hero Ball with him, or maybe Endries racks up elite TE yards as he continues to be the one steady outlet for Arch as we rely more on 12 personnel going forward. Is that going to be enough to reach the lofty goals people like Taaffe set by coming back to the program for one last try and a championship? Sure hope so. The good news is that I've never seen a season schedule that allowed the coaches to figure out their roster with so many warm up games before we get into the meat of the schedule like this one. We're still four weeks away from the Swamp, and I have hopes and dreams that Sark is going to be able to cobble together the best of what he's seen so far to rebuild the offense around our strengths going into SEC play. Beat Florida and OU and we are cooking with gas at 5-1 heading into the rest of October.
  4. Simon. We need an RB that adds extra yards to the play. Maybe he can bring some much needed explosiveness to the position.
  5. Offense hasn’t been up to the task against top 10 teams. Defense has. The one exception might be Washington but even then the turnovers are what killed us.
  6. “You think, 'Is this just us? Are we screwed up?' So telling about how he feels so far.
  7. its an interesting theory how much a position group can improve vs how much latent talent they have. On one hand you have five star generational LTs like Banks that didn’t take long at all to lock in and then you have players that are just never going to be talented enough to meet a championship level standard no matter how much coaching is involved. And then there are the inbetweens. One can hope we have the latent talent along the OL that can become championship level standard but a few of the dudes like DJ and Neto have been around long enough that I think we know their upside.
  8. Hate to promote content from other networks on here but go check out the tape review on the OL that Paul and Ian did on the IT YouTube channel. Holy moly it ain’t pretty. Not sure what Flood has been doing for five years but it hasn’t culminated in a very good product in front of Arch.
  9. Regarding Sark, it was telling that he said in his PC yesterday that he got to get home and watch other games Saturday night and was watching them through the lens of wondering if any other teams were having the same kind of early season issues that we are. He said something like "i'm watching the games like, is it just us?" Everything is coachable and correctable within the margins of the talent on this offense, and I have a strong feeling he's going to use that two week break before UF to put together a new plan regarding what he's seen so far from this team, but as of now it does seem like he's feeling frustration regarding our early season offensive issues, team penalties, etc.
  10. Think we’ve concluded he’s not injured he just throws the ball with his eyes closed!
  11. If we all accept that it’s not an injury and that’s just the way Arch throws a football wouldn’t the next line of questioning be something about him throwing footballs with his eyes closed? Honestly. The matching photos from two years in a row of him doing it seem a bit incriminating that he hasn’t been coached to stop closing his eyes mid wind up before he even releases the ball.
  12. The great Big Humans strategy on the OL over the past three recruiting seasons is not exactly materializing. We need dudes who are actually good at playing OL.
  13. What are you doing down in FLA Gerry?
  14. Except in the case where a school goes all in to retain upperclassmen to win a natty like Ohio State did last year.
  15. So why portal Endries? Golden? Bond? AD Mitchel?
  16. Would love thoughts from the mods on this. @Bobby Burton @CJ Vogel @Gerry Hamilton https://www.instagram.com/reel/DORP-JSCdAY/?igsh=cmdkajV4ZTJtdDU4
  17. Exactly why some of us were calling for more experienced portal help at WR, RB and OL during the offseason. Just not enough starting experience or explosiveness on this offense.
  18. Where actually is the Surly Horns tailgate? Know a few of those guys and never thought to stop by.
  19. Would he have been considered more of the backup CB to Gillbeau or the backup Nickle to Grayson? @CJ Vogel
  20. Within striking distance. Five weeks for Sark to figure out how to get the most out of this offense. https://www.si.com/fannation/college/cfb-hq/rankings/coaches-poll-top-25-college-football-rankings-week-2-2025

  21. Agree. Stroh looked awesome out there and next to Goosby that’s a hell of a duo. Woulda coulda but Arch should have snuck it on that side.
  22. What a joke of a press conference. Not one question about the continued red zone failures three seasons in a row.
  23. Brooks Austin “the Film Guy” said he had a pro scout tell him that Arch can’t “feather” the ball. Everything is ripped on a rope. Wouldn’t have ever expected that from a seasoned QB “prodigy” who has been groomed his whole life but so far the tape doesn’t lie.
