  1. As a guy who spent lots of summers in Cape Cod, the Jaws series is an all time classic. Hooper has physically matured so much. I never anticipated he'd be this good. Despite the loss he still has an extremely bright future ahead of him.
  2. Hooper was aggressive with push kicks, front kicks etc but was too slow and kept his chin high. Hernandez was using lateral movement causing Hooper to chase and Hernandez would blitz with power shots off the angle as Hooper lazily followed and kept throwing weak punches. As good as he's looked he looked sloppy and less tactical than previous bouts.
  3. Tim Elliott's resurrection of his career after his wife cheated on him on their wedding day is historic.
  4. Interesting how they used him on a lot of plays behind the line of scrimmage whether it be on reverses, options etc. Works the sideline extremely well and tough runner after the catch. Reminds me of a taller David Givens, looks like he will fit in tremendously with his versatility.
  5. Asakura, Page, Prates, Pico, Du Plessis so if you're a betting man like John Mateer, take the other guys 😂 Great card.
  6. Max Wright fits this bill imo. Huge ball of clay into the machine. Atkinson has a lot of Luke Keuchly/Ray Lewis to him. Intelligently insane.
  7. Loveland going ten was insane to me. Call me crazy but unless its a guaranteed Hall of fame player, would not recommend taking a skill position guy. Trade down or build trenches. Helms hurdles improved exponentially after OTF was established. Must have been the GoodRs. His catch at A and M was amazing.
  8. Imo the goal is to win football games. Quinn is still an enigma. Bobby said it best he is elite underneath. Like a great pool player he can feather the ball in short quarters. Its a talent that is difficult to teach that is natural to him. Brady esque in his ability to get the ball out quickly and lead his guys. He is still a young kid, Carson Beck is older, Quinn helped Texas to two final fours. I am happy to eat crow when he's 25 if he flames out but we have had Arch in the wings to Quinn had an expiration date. That's very tough. Obviously the loss to Ohio State was brutal but the kid had balls to hot route and hit that 4th and 13. Healthy Brooks, baxter, bond is all hypothetical and although both Quinn and Sam came up short they both bled Orange and put Texas a step forward rather than a step back.
  9. Pretty good list but give me Tommy Nobis over Spielman and Reggie Bush over Johnny Rodgers
  10. Quinn is better than Zach Wilson who should be the face of Duck Camp.
  11. I understand its a numbers game thus LJH being in and Hyatt potentially being out but as far as their skill sets and functionality in an offense they offer completely different skill sets. LJH has done a great job carving out a career in the NFL but I still wish he had returned for one more year at Texas. He ran like a freight train after the catch in the Sugar Bowl victory. Will always be one of my favorite players!
  12. I can't concede anything with this team. I don't think Julian Sayin, Gunnar Stockton, young Lagway or Marcel Reed should beat Texas with this defense and Arch Manning at the helm. I think accepting a guaranteed two loss regular season is lowering internal expectations as I think this years Texas team is further along in development towards a National Title than any of these teams. Don't let any of them off the hook and keep the foot on the gas!
  13. Surprised Miami star Kicker Bert Auburn isn't on this list.
  14. Great post. Its always tremendous when one of your most talented players is a vocal leader and coach on the field. Anthony Hill may very well be the best linebacker in the Nation. The defense will be prepared and fiery under his direction.
  15. Especially if he bet on himself over .5 interceptions in the game
  16. Does John have a translator?
  17. My uncle worked oxygen tanks on the old Patriots sidelines and said earl running into Steve Nelson was a car crash
  18. Too many to choose but Quinn helped bring great change and hope to the program so he would be my choice. HM: Taaffe, Roschon, Barron, Whitt, Hayden Conner
  19. I'm wrong 39th overall. I still felt it was a reach 😂
  20. I thought teven Jenkins from Oklahoma State went first round
  21. Would you say the freshman tight ends have been more impressive than the young wide receivers at this juncture from a future recruiting standpoint?
  22. Max Abmas reminded me of AJ Abrams a bit. The time really does fly by. I remember having the college basketball video game back in the day with TJ Ford on the cover. One of the best point guards I've seen. A faster Ed Cota who could score.
