  1. Should Texas add Pope they will have brought in 3 players that averaged 37% BTA (11 combined attempts PG) and 84% FT (12 combined attempts PG) last year. That is a lot of high level shooting.
  2. We got some good news today, here's how I think it breaks down. Hunter -> TBD, I hope it's Larry Abmas -> Tre Johnson Horton -> Mark Disu -> TBD, I hope it's Avila Mitchell -> TBD, Garrison would be the best fit Cunningham -> Kent Shedrick -> Shedrick Weaver -> Weaver Onyema -> Codie Pryor -> Pryor That rotation will cook in the SEC next year.
  3. This keenan guy is tweeting out that Texas is getting a better prospect than Scott.
  4. This isn't ideal, but it's likely 100% tied to Texas trying to add 2-3 guards from the portal. Scott probably thinks he should walk into any program and be guaranteed 25+ MPG as a starter.
  5. Yes and a guard that shot 46% BTA. If you have Avila you can protect him with Shedrick and Garrison. He's probably a slightly more skilled version of Disu. Athletically it is probably a wash because of how Disu couldn't develop himself because of all the injuries.
  6. The problem with Calipari, he's not a good coach at all. He's a roll the basketball out there type of guy. He's also a guy that cheated his ass off, and now that is normalized across the sport. He will still get talent, but his teams will never be great in March.
  7. Mark would be a great addition. Can play PG for stretches during the game with solid shooting metrics.
  8. This wasn't a mistake. Hopefully him costing himself millions will ensure he never decides to do it again. Driving drunk is the ultimate sign of narcissism.
  9. I hope Pierce realizes it is over for him now.
  10. You never really know what to make of these scrimmages. The best news I've seen so far is no major injuries.
  11. Pierce has cost Johnson millions.
  12. Yep, his uncles both used every year of eligiblity in college. The only thing that could change his calculus is the Saints having the top pick.
  13. Man, Enfield was a complete disaster at USC. Just goes to show you that one Cindrella mid-major tournament run is a horrible way to hire a coach.
  14. Except he doesn't have the athleticism or basketball skill that Westbrick had.
  15. Isaacs is a volume scorer only. Those guys are a dime a dozen in the portal, not to mention he raped a teammate's sister earlier in the season while Tech covered it up.
  16. Sarkisian at Texas is going to go on a run. Last year was just the tip of the iceberg IMHO. I think the next decade will surpass what Mack did, only because of the difference between the playoffs and the BCS, i.e. Sarkisian will have more chances because 12 >>> 2,
  17. I bet Cream Abdul Jabar gets a lot of offers to enter the portal.
  18. I was hoping he would stick around, but sometimes kids just don't want to wait their turn. He was recruited over at Kansas and came here, every time he played he was a turnover machine, 24% TOV. He was unplayable in conference games. Building a roster is going to be tough moving forward because you have to nail your evals or you lose kids after a season.
  19. Lampkin is good if he lays off the pot. Just look at NC State's big for reference. Don't confuse athleticism with basketball skill. Mitchell is in the Top % of basketball athletes, but in the bottom % of basketball skill. I'd take Lampkin over Mitchell everyday of the week.
  20. Taafe is the Hayden Conner of the secondary. He sets a decent floor, but the ceiling will never be reached for the entire unit until he's replaced almost completely.
  21. I hope LBJ got a shitton of NIL because his decision to let Pierce become his pitching coach might cost him millions.
  22. Just a reminder last year, Texas signed every player they brought on campus for a visit except the VCU guard that ended up at Baylor. That should let you know how serious Texas is with a certain player once they are in the portal.
