  1. Team is fighting their asses off right now. Don't know if they have enough to pull it out, but what an effort.
  2. I hope. We need size next year in the SEC.
  3. I am not sure the new portal era is a good thing for a Self. He's used to building his program with 2-4 year guys. He went to the portal big time last year, and this was likely the worst team he's had since the back to back 1st round upsets. He's likely going to have to completely rebuild through the portal next year as well. McCullar, Dickinson, and Furphy are likely done. Something I miss Texas having, are the 6'6"-6'9" wing/forwards that Rick could recruit in spades. Boddicker, Thomas, Buckman, James, and Johnson. I am jealous of of San Diego State having Ledee. That dude is a brick wall. Sad, he's from Houston too. Disu probably could have been another one of those guys if he had ever been healthy enough to put on lean muscle during the offseason(s).
  4. They had a great game earlier this season. Going to be a war with UH missing Tuggler and a hobbled Roberts.
  5. Pumpkin. Lulz your insults are very lame. Why does Terry succeeding hurt you so much? You are on a Texas board, yet, want the team to do poorly.
  6. SEC is really not a good basketball conference. Lots of athletes with poor basketball IQs. Terry will easily be one of the top coaches in that league next year.
  7. No you don't. You love being negative about the program, coach, and players.
  8. I would have never believed it has been 17 years since the back to back Bucknell and Bradley round of 64 losses for Self.
  9. This is amazing and really puts into perspective how difficult March is.
  10. And it took nearly two decades and 4 coaches for Texas to hit that streak again. Meanwhile, Cailpari is now 4 seasons removed (covid not included) from back to back Round of 32 appearences.
  11. Disu's body is so under developed due to his inability to stay healthy. He could easily add 10-15 pounds of muscle, and his only hope at the NBA is being healthy in an off-season to put in that work. Weaver also needs 5-10 pounds of good muscle moving forward.
  12. You are miserable today as well with this weak attempt at a rebuttal.
  13. The team we just beat, but with better athletes.
  14. I understand. Texas was positive on the season on 10-0 runs, but they were in the streaky collection of teams. Hopefully he's learning on the fly, he had our guys ready for everything CSU wanted to do on offense. Tennessee is alot like CSU, not a great 3 point shooting team. If Hunter can smother Zeigler and we can make Knecht work for his 20-25, then I like our chances.
  15. You must go through life everyday being miserable.
  16. Terry did call a smart timeout after CSU hit a 3 to cut the lead to 11. It was early in the 2nd half, and I was thinking he needs to call a TO if they score here and they did, and he did. That was 3 straight offensive scores for the Rams. They didn't score on consecutive possessions again until the game was all but decided. Something also to consider. Terry is the 1st coach to take Texas to the round of 32 in conscectutives tournaments since the 2008-2009 season, that was Barnes 4th straight appearence and the last time he would go back to back. That is how bad this program has been in the last 15 seasons.
  17. Just to point out the SEC is now 0-3 all as higher seeds with 2 complete ass kickings. Teneessee looks like they are going to roll, but the SEC is not a great league. We have a great shot on Saturday. There is no way Abmas and Disu are going 10-33/1-12/3-6 (really 3-7) again.
  18. Survive and advance. Great defense of a very good offensive team. We took away everything they like to do offensively. If Disu or Abmas hit their average we blow them out by 20+. It is a good team win, with our 2 best players both having off nights and still win by double digits with CSU never getting within 2 possessions in the 2nd half.
  19. He schemed him pretty well in the OU and ISU games.
  20. Is Scott a 2-year player? When was the last time Texas had 3 legit NBA caliber guards on the team? Got to think that Scott, Johnson, and Weaver are going to have a fun March 2025.
  21. Our 2025 home schedule will likely be worse than any we played in the Big 12.
  22. 🤮 The best part of a 9 game conference schedule for Texas was the 4-4-1 break down. 3 conference home games is ridiculous.
  23. He played plenty at Alabama when he had experinced depth. Year one - Worthy, Whittington, Moore, Washington, and Dixon. After Whittington went down against OU and Moore mentally quit sometime after that it was not pretty. Year two - Worthy, Whittington, Cain, Hall, and Neyor, Neyor was hurt in fall practice and Hall was never mentally there. Year three - Worthy, Whittington, Mitchell, Cook, Neyor, Cain, Niblett and Moore. A little more depth, but Cook, Niblett, and Moore were freshmen. Neyor mentally never recovered and Cain is a JAG. Year four - Cook, Moore, Niblett, Bond, Bolden, Golden, Wingo, Butler, Dubose, Livingstone, and Cain. This is a healthy WR room. Lots of experience and talented underclassmen to push the upperclassmen. I can see 5-7 of those guys getting quality game reps this season.
  24. CSU reminds me of a more unathletic version of OU. They like to have their bigs run to the rim off the pnr, but they also turn the ball over a lot. I don't think Virginia scores 50 against air in their practice.
  25. I don't think either team matches up well against Texas. CSU doesn't have the size to bother Abmas, and if Hunter decides he wants to play defense, he can limit Stevens for CSU. Virginia just doesn't have the offensive talent to match Texas. They are one of the worst 10-0 run teams in the NCAAT, Texas is one of the most streakiest.
