  1. So, every player that has visited Texas has committed to Texas save for Garrison and the forward from Air Force. Another stellar recruiting job by the Texas staff.
  2. He doesn't do this when his mind is in a normal state. Just a complete fraud of a coach since day one.
  3. Avila is announcing toay with no visits. St. Louis it is.
  4. Wow, Duke has now lost it's 7th player to the portal. The Jon Scheyer regime is falling apart. I don't care what talent he is bringing in because you aren't winning the NCAAT with a team full of freshmen.
  5. Going to be interesting to see how Self does in the new era of college basketball. He's not the only person paying anymore. His 1st portal team was an abject failure.
  6. Kent will play Cunningham's role from last year, but much better because he's more of an offensive threat than Cunningham ever was.
  7. When Williams goes to the OU spring game this weekend, will he have to pay for admittance like everyone else.
  8. Mitchell went from 40% FT in year one to nearly 60% in year two. I feel good about the coaches developing that FT percentage.
  9. How many threads are you going to post this utter nonsense on?
  10. Those penalties don't include 2 other ongoing investigations.
  11. Michigan going to be vacating a lot of wins and the title soon.
  12. Lulz. Terry's 1st full season at Texas was a success based on the historic outcomes of the program. I agree with Gerry that this season is a big one for Terry to apply what he learned in season 1 to make changes and adapt. That will determine if Terry gets another contract. Anyone thinking Terry is getting fired any time soon for winning NCAAT games is just stupid.
  13. Holy cow dude, do you even follow Texas hoops. I was talking about Tre Johnson, the 5-star 2025 NBA lottery pick. I wouldn't compare Kent to Allen because Kent has never shown the ability to make plays for others in 4 seasons, plus he's a better floor spacer than Allen. The only way they are similar is they both play below the rim, same with Cunningham.
  14. Larry is the PG. Pope is a CG, Weaver is a SG, Mark and Johnson are college wings that can run the offense for short stretches. My guess, is that the starting 5 next year if Pope comes is Larry, Pope, Mark, Johnson, and a big. Kent would be playing the Cunningham role, where Brock played wing, stretch 4 and stretch 5. Kent is much more of an offensive threat than Cunningham was.
  15. Larry, Pope, Johnson, Mark, Avlia/Shderick/Garrison is a holy moly starting 5. If Texas does add Pope, they are playing fast with multiple 4 guard lineups next season. Kinda like the Miami team that beat us for the FF in 2023. Pack -> Larry Wong -> Pope Poplar -> Mack Miller -> Johnson Omier -> any big we want though we could see Terry using Kent with that guard lineup and having huge lanes because of the ability of all 5 guys to shoot from BTA. If you think Johnson (for a baseline) comes in and makes 35% and 80% on a decent amount of attempts, you are looking at a very potent lineup. That would be around 38% on 18+ 3PA and 82% on 18+ FTA.
  16. Should Texas add Pope they will have brought in 3 players that averaged 37% BTA (11 combined attempts PG) and 84% FT (12 combined attempts PG) last year. That is a lot of high level shooting.
  17. We got some good news today, here's how I think it breaks down. Hunter -> TBD, I hope it's Larry Abmas -> Tre Johnson Horton -> Mark Disu -> TBD, I hope it's Avila Mitchell -> TBD, Garrison would be the best fit Cunningham -> Kent Shedrick -> Shedrick Weaver -> Weaver Onyema -> Codie Pryor -> Pryor That rotation will cook in the SEC next year.
  18. This keenan guy is tweeting out that Texas is getting a better prospect than Scott.
  19. This isn't ideal, but it's likely 100% tied to Texas trying to add 2-3 guards from the portal. Scott probably thinks he should walk into any program and be guaranteed 25+ MPG as a starter.
  20. Yes and a guard that shot 46% BTA. If you have Avila you can protect him with Shedrick and Garrison. He's probably a slightly more skilled version of Disu. Athletically it is probably a wash because of how Disu couldn't develop himself because of all the injuries.
  21. The problem with Calipari, he's not a good coach at all. He's a roll the basketball out there type of guy. He's also a guy that cheated his ass off, and now that is normalized across the sport. He will still get talent, but his teams will never be great in March.
  22. Mark would be a great addition. Can play PG for stretches during the game with solid shooting metrics.
  23. This wasn't a mistake. Hopefully him costing himself millions will ensure he never decides to do it again. Driving drunk is the ultimate sign of narcissism.
