  1. We have had some great players recently on our team.
  2. Just intercepted a Mahones pass in the red zone. He's all over the field making tackles.
  3. I watched their game and they refused to lose. At one point, Elko got in the players ' faces and went postal on them. They responded. They have two receivers that are dogs. The quarterback is young, but damn he's good. That winning throw was Mahomes like.
  4. He was a second baseman who one day couldn't make the throw to first base. He had to quit playing because of his errant throws. Once that gets into the psyche of a player, it's tough to regain the confidence. So with Arch, you have mechanics, the yips, and the inability to let it loose. We all see it. Sark has a conundrum. His prized pupil can't complete a pass! What to do? The only solution is to sit him down and start the experienced transfer. He must before it gets worse.
  5. He's huge but does he have the desire to be great? Who gets into the League? The dudes that work the hardest, maximize their potential, don't make excuses, lead.
  6. I am beginning to dislike Oregon.
  7. Mack shouldn't garner so much vitriol. He has done more for UT than most. His former players revere him. He is a good man. Things didn't work out the last few years but they were more than great for a decade too.
  8. ...it's important to have our legends, both players and coaches around the program. VY is a hero to many. The players and their parents revel in his presence. Sark is confident and self assured enough to understand why it's important to be welcoming, unlike other coaches we have had. CDC also rolls out the welcome mat to our former players. We have the best athletic administration in our history right now.
  9. Two different skill sets between hoops and volleyball. The WNBA is super physical. They knock the crap out of each other. I am in awe how good the professional women hoopers are these days.
  10. Florida doesn't worry me. OU does. They have improved.
  11. Wingo needs to catch the balls that hit him in the hands. He gives up too easily. Receivers have to fight for the catch but the easy ones are just that.
  12. ...and we have to endure the growing pains. A lot of dudes are finally starting for the first time and they just don't have the game experience to be playing at a very high level. As long as we are improving each game, the best is yet to come. A good example is Arch's awareness of the situation. He wants to make plays when it might be best to run or just eat the play. Simmons is like a mountain goat in heat, he just wants to bang heads, when subtlety might be best on that play. Sark knows what he's doing. Patience is not our strong point.
  13. ...which bodes well for the running game. Connor Stroh is huge and strong as can be. I was really impressed with how well he played.
  14. Sark never throws a player under the bus. We lost because Arch was rattled in the first half. But Sark won't say that. Arch was nervous, but then got it together in the second half. He will look at this game as a turning point in his career. He will ball out the next game. No one wishes Saturday were here now more than Arch.
  15. It was nerves at the beginning. Now he has a game under his belt in the most hostile environment imaginable. So he will take this experience and improve. Simple as that.
  16. Ethan Burke played really good. The dude is a problem for our opponents.
  17. Two great teams went to battle today. I thought both showed class and respect toward each other. We are likely to see them again. Ryan Day is a better coach than I imagined. Seems like a humble dude too.
  18. We dominated them yet lost. We were too sporadic in the first half. We missed the receiver from the transfer portal. The receiving group needs to step up and find ways to get open. Endries looked good. Tre and CJ ran hard. The O-line was good except for the penalties. Arch will get better. He's a gamer. Just a real tough place to win a game. But we had it.
  19. The good thing is we never gave up. It was an away game in a hostile place. Our O line will improve. Arch will improve.
  20. That was telegraphed a mile away. Arch desperately wanted a long completion.
  21. Arch hasn't mastered that yet. Don't we have anyone that can leap over the pile?
