  1. As an Ohio State fan there are only two things that concern me, in terms of if the offense will be among the elite again - 1. Julian Sayin 2. Brian Hartline calling plays Both aren’t liabilities, just question marks. I have no concerns in regards to the WR, TE, OL, or RB rooms.
  2. For anyone who is curious, this is what Eleven Warriors is projecting to be Ohio State‘S depth chart on 8/30.
  3. Expected to be 100% and not be on a snap count?
  4. Is CJ Baxter for sure playing next weekend?
  5. Ohio State was pretty desperate for DT depth as well. I know a lot of Ohio State fans results to the same old lazy refrain “Texas dropped a bag” but I hate that response. Money is certainly at play in every recruit and transfer for every program nowadays, it is never only about money. But you’re probably right, Ohio State’s starting DT’s were pretty much set in stone for this season, he probably saw more of a chance competing with all new DT’s coming in together rather than guys that have been ahead of him on the roster for a couple years.
  6. Any word on your guys’ end on why Hero Kanu left Ohio State? He would have likely been 2nd or 3rd string here as well, but it doesn’t appear he’s in the two deep at Texas either. I’ve heard so many different reasons from our end and I’m sure there mostly bullshit.
  7. Who are going to be the two starting DT’s? I assume Brevard and who else?
  8. He might not have to. There are more ways to win a game than just throwing the ball all over the field. Same goes for Texas by the way. Arch could have just an average game and it wouldn’t surprise anyone if Texas still beat Ohio State.
  9. I believe it. There’s a reason I would say 55-60% of CFB “experts” are picking Texas to beat Ohio State , and Vegas has Texas as favorites to win it all.
  10. Kyle Flood definitely has the reputation as being one of the best OL coaches in the game.
  11. Eleven Warriors posted an article titled 10 biggest questions for Ohio State entering the season. Here’s what they had to say about the OL “DOES THE OFFENSIVE LINE LIVE UP TO THE HYPE? Considering various Ohio State offensive linemen stepped up down the stretch for the Buckeyes last season and many of them return for 2025, there’s no shortage of confidence in OSU’s stalwarts up front. Austin Siereveld’s hype meter is off the charts, considering his Iron Buckeye honors and being named the unquestioned starter at left tackle. Carson Hinzman is a proven commodity at center. Luke Montgomery played well at guard in the final two postseason games in 2024 and should handle the left side this year. And Phillip Daniels has drawn enough rave reviews that he might beat out transfer Ethan Onianwa for the starting right tackle gig. They’ll be tested right away against Texas’ vaunted pass rush, but the offensive line could be one of the strongest position groups for OSU this season.”
  12. I would say that that goes against everything I have read about Sayin this off season. I’m not saying it isn’t true, but that is definitely not Sayin’s reputation.
  13. Ryan Day is a class act all the way around. He is a very good human being. Urban Meyer was an elite HC but seemed to be pretty shitty off the field.
  14. Sarcasm noted haha. Ohio State hasn’t had a championship caliber K in over a decade though 😞
  15. The IOL didn’t just play a month of football, they lead Ohio State to a national championship. That is a proven national championship winning IOL
  16. Yeah, he was always a guard. Him being moved to not only tackle but left tackle took everyone by surprise. However, everyone has been singing his praises all off season, we’re expecting big things from him with the way those around the program are talking about him. He supplanted Onianwa very quickly in fall camp.
  17. I don’t know who Juck is, but I haven’t heard that at all. Although there’s a reason he’s not the starting RT, assuming it’s even true that Phillip Daniels beat him out, nobody knows for sure yet. I admit that nobody is raving about Onianwa either. I personally think he struggled athletically against the edges and they realized quickly he’s better suited as a guard, but Ohio State has 3 unquestioned starters on the IOL
  18. So Ohio State’s healthy starting OL last year would have been LT Josh Simmons LG Donovan Jackson C Seth Mclaughlin RG Tegra Tshabola RT Josh Fryer The OL for the Cotton Bowl was LT Donovan Jackson LG Luke Montgomery (starting LG 8/30) C Carson Hinzman (starting C on 8/30) RG Tegra Tshabola (starting RG on 8/30) RT Josh Fryar
  19. Nah, he was Minnesota’s starting RT last season for the second half of their season. RS Sophomore this season.
  20. So according to our version of the morning show, Onianwa lost 20 pounds and has looked the part but that Phillip Daniels has exceeded expectations and has simply beat out Phillip Daniels. I obviously haven’t seen any practices so that’s all I have to go off of. Also, during player interviews they’ve all raved about how good Phillip Daniels has been this camp. We’ll find out on 8/30 if it was a case of Onianwa just not being good enough for this level or if Daniels is really that good
  21. Is Bobby one of the guys on the Coffee & Football podcast? If so, I’m more than happy to support them. I like this podcast a lot.
  22. Good luck on 8/30. It’s going to be an experience for all involved.
  23. Vegas set the initial line at -3.5. That’s what Vegas’ analytics are telling them. It’s the casual betting public who are moving the line right now, not Vegas. The smart money will come in Saturday morning before the game, that’s the movement to watch. The movement right now means nothing.
  24. I think you are going to find out the hard way on 8/30 that those guys are all experienced. Until then, we will just have to agree to disagree.
  25. It’s -2.5 on FD, the only book I use. The initial line and the line the morning of the game are the only lines that matter. Right now it’s just casual gamblers moving the line.
