  1. Saying he was rattled (like mentally) is laughable. Dude has played against high-major players for years on the AAU circuit. He's played against UT players in the summer for multiple years. Time will tell. He will be better in year one than you think. The game changes when you have other high-major players around you vs. future UT and A&M frat boys. He was face guarded all season long because he had frat boys around him, and one other college player. Just being real.
  2. Funny how opinions off of one game are so different So a former two time All-Big selection texts he during the game about how much he likes him as a player … he’s not caught up the vacuum of one game. He’s lookin at it from a different way … the projection of the position he will play, who he will be guarding, bad shooting night vs 44-45% from three over course of season and AAU, etc
  3. Bo Ogden will play 15-20 mins a game next year Book it.
  4. Great Q ... he's in the next tier after until he ascends a little more (which he will at LSU IMO), and actually coaches a team deep into the CFP
  5. Have not. But he reminds me of the guard at Navy right now from The Woodlands area in Texas
  6. For me going into this season ... 1. Kirby 2 Day (I joke about Day being born on 3rd base like anyone else, but has been to five CFP's, 7 straight top 10 finishes and has kept Ohio State amongst the top 2-3 college programs since being hired - which is all very impressive). Would go Day, for now. 3. Cignetti 4. Kalen DeBoer - taken two teams to CFP, and played for an NC 5. Marcus Freeman -played for an NC, and took over top historical brand in CFB at age 37. Many have failed in similar scenarios before him at various blue bloods. 6-8 ... Flip coins on Sark, Lanning and Cristobal ... depends on your criteria Sark and Lanning the convo ... Lanning bad playoff losses, also went out and won the Big 10 first year in the league (meaningful) Cristobal is the one of the three that has played for all the marbles. BTW, Dabo has really taken a tumble on these lists due to portal approach IMO. It's cost him. But what he's done at Clemson is still CFB Hall of Fame stuff.
  7. Mine hasn't happened yet ... lol CBK has always been tremendous. March Madness is the best thing going in college athletics, and I don't think it's particularly close.
  8. Now three that have scored 80+ . Pretty cool

  13. Lagrange (Ga) Troup County 4-star+ LB Jeremiah Culpepper has arrived in Austin for his first visit to Texas. Also has OV June 12-14 6-3, 206 OTF believes Texas is the favorite over Auburn
  14. Will be interesting to see what level he has option to move to. He didn't do to well at Xavier vs. others who have sat in that seat
  15. Debating how much our nuts are worth!
  16. My answer is 100% yes https://www.instagram.com/p/DVwcCNzDYU8/?igsh=MXVpczdyeGVhYnJzdQ==
  17. Bobby Hurley officially out at Arizona State.
  18. Haha. love it. Was totally joking ... I didn't really even know who she was before that tweet.
  19. Above average, yes in my adult lifetime. Texas is an above average program historically, and since 2000. A top 25 level program. But truly doing what it takes to take the next step over time? No. What I would label as content, yes.
  20. Texas women's basketball is top tier program in their college sport. A history of elite winning. An NC, 4 Final Four's, 13 Elite 8's, etc... I think Texas womens NIL advantage is real - in terms of where they sit. But maybe a little overblown too. The whole deal with women's college hoops IMO is ... there isn't depth of talent in the women's game. There is a substantial drop off between you top tier and second tier, and a huge drop off after that. If a tier 1/blue blood hires a high end coach in the women's game, they can be very elite or dominant because of the lack of depth of talent. Texas has done that with Vic. Texas men aren't even close to that. Near zero history of winning on an elite level. Never played for an NC. One FF since 1947, etc... Not near a tier 1 or blue blood. Not a destination school in their sport. etc
  21. But that Texas team wasn't close to a normal blue blood roster. Beard is legitimate great coach that has messed it up. Not a current NBA player on that team. Couple of two-way contract guys
  22. Autry out at Syracuse, as expected UNC-Greensboro is open UL-Monroe is open
