I loved hearing him say he’s obsessed with winning a title. That’s the kinda coach you want. Wonder if he will identify what he can do better to go from 12 wins to 15 or more with the added playoff games

I’m not too familiar with Texas hs ball overall but do they play a national schedule ? If so how often and should they do it more ?

Since we are talking coaching changes, which Texas assistant will be the front runner for the Florida job after Napier gets canned ?

I do believe Baxter is the overall better of the two. But the way blue came on in the late part of the season just makes it all the more exciting.

read an article where tashard choice compared jaydon blue to jahmyr Gibbs. I just got to thinking about our running backs : 1- Can blue do anything to take over RB1 reps ahead of Baxter ? 2-who should get the bulk of the carries this year? 3- could Baxter and blue be a better combo than Bijan/Roschon ?

y’all think the crowd for the Georgia game will top the crowd from the Alabama game in 2022? Potentially could be a #1 vs #2 matchup. When’s the last time that happened at DKR?

If there’s a RB to enter the portal after the spring I think it would be Red. I say that not bc I don’t think red is capable of finding a spot but out of all the guys in that room he’s the only one I believe that’s not a natural RB. If Wisner was to move up to RB3 or one of the incoming freshman was to just blow the coaches away from the start- Red could just fall down the depth chart and not see a path to the field other than special teams. Thats just something I’ll be keeping an eye on in the spring game.

To think that Texas had the doak winner in Bijan, followed by what would’ve been a doak winner in brooks- on top of that Bijan was a top 10 pick and a finalist for rookie of the year, whereas brooks is still viewed as the top RB in this years draft class . This speaks to how important keeping tashard choice on the coaching staff is and also shows the value of waiting your turn. I would be preaching that to guys like Gibson and Clark, and possibly the RB outta mater dei that Texas is high on if he was to come to Texas.

Everything we’ve heard concerning baker seems positive. I certainly won’t judge after 1 season but he sure sounds like a hell of a hire.

Gotta throw ole miss in there. At least for the time being. Kiffin has killed it in the portal and while losing judkins hurts, they still should figure to be a 10 win team.

As long as the culture progresses forward so too will the success of the team under sark. Quinn needs to take that next step as the overall leader of this team. This is his 3rd year and there shouldn’t be any questions as to who’s team this is. He needs to grab that by the throat and not let up from here on out. I liked hearing that ant hill has stepped into a leadership role on defense. Between him and jahdae Barron I think the defense will take a few games to get things to click, but as the season moves along the overall defense should be fine. I just hope they find it and find it fast. I thought 10 wins and a B12 title should’ve been the expectation last year and they did that and then some. I think 9-10 wins this year and finishing in the top 3 of the SEC and a playoff appearance is well attainable. We don’t live in a world anymore where 1-2 or even 3 losses will keep you from reaching your ultimate goal at the end of the season which of course is a national title

I’m hoping they are able to get some of those incoming DBs like Mack and Black some valuable reps this season . The entire secondary figures to be the strength of the defense this season so it’ll be important to get those guys reps so that the 2025 season doesn’t see a drop off . Really excited to see manny Muhammad in year 2. He definitely became one of my favorite players to watch on the defense last year

If Texas can just get its foot in the door throughout the state of Georgia as tough as it may be then they’ll have connections in basically all the big time SEC states for recruiting. With Atlanta being as crowded as it is with talent I wonder if sark would start south of Atlanta and then work his way up or vice versa. I don’t think it’ll reach 64 teams. I just think it’s a slight possibility. But to your point, what about the SEC teams that don’t excel in football but are national powers in other sports. Vanderbilt for example, we know they don’t accomplish much in football, but they are traditionally a powerhouse in baseball. Lots to get situated here.
