  1. Ah right, my apologies then. I must've missed the original article.
  2. I'm sorry, I think you read the list wrong. They have Texas at #1 and Penn State at #4? Unless I completely whiffed on the sarcasm here?
  3. So if Guilbeau moves to the other Corner spot, who fills in at Nickel?
  4. Meh, just clickbait. Texas top 5 but shouldn't be #1. If you just won the Natty, you should be #1 imo. But I don't put much stock in these.
  5. Well, we just saw one from Alabama go in the 1st, so not completely impossible, but I do agree. Best he could get to is 2nd (which is still great). I think he makes a huge leap this coming year and hopefully takes on a more leadership role there.
  6. Taaffe is a great player, but teams won't draft him in the 2nd round. I think the best he's looking at is late 3rd/4th round, imo. I forgot about some of the portal guys, Endries at TE is pretty solid, considering Helm somehow slide down to the 4th round, I could see him ending up there possibly? Watson I'm not sure, maybe similar or better than Broughton ended up? It's hard to predict, tbh. I do agree about Baker, Campbell and Goosby.
  7. It's definitely better than ending up in Cleveland lol. QB graveyard.
  8. That injury for Bond really hampered him. Definitely should've come back for another year. Feel bad for the guy, because prior to the injury, he was 100% a 1st rounder.
  9. Goosby could be a 1st rounder if he keeps working hard. Same with Baker. I don't think DJ Campbell will be a first, but with another year in the oven (so to speak) he could massively improve his draft stock. I think Cam Williams might be regretting that decision but that's just my opinion and not based in fact. Muhammed could be a 1st rounder if he continues to improve. But these are all what if's. The ones you listed, are almost for sure things, if it plays out the way it should.
  10. What do you think was the biggest concern with teams not wanting to draft Majors? I think he's got what it takes between the ears to play C in the NFL, but I'm questioning his physicality in the middle in the NFL.
  11. I'm not sure if it was him struggling, as him trying to come back from a pretty serious injury. We heard in the offseason how much it was hampering him. But that's also a knock on him, that his 3 years at Texas, he's been injured every year. A long with some other things he hasn't improved upon in his game.
  12. If Bond was healthy, he's a 1st rounder easy.
  13. I'd be surprised if he's not starting, that was one of his biggest reasons for going there.
  14. I don't disagree, but he wanted to start and OU was the best path for him, with numerous factors in their favour.
  15. It does though? He's pretty much guaranteed to start and they would've paid him quite handsomely. Plus, I think his best friend went there, too.
  16. Honestly, the two TE's that went in the 1st round aren't better than him. You could make the argument of Warren but Loveland isn't better, imo. The fact going into day 3 and he's still on the board, tells you someone is going to get an absolute steal at TE.
  17. Yeah I saw his projection is in the 4th now. Been saying it over on reddit, but another year in the system and he could've actually been a 1st round pick.
  18. I think he will be, too. I think Loveland is good, but I don't know if he's 10th overall good. Even Warren going at 14 is a bit of a stretch. Even though he's a great overall player.
  19. Can I be honest? While Loveland is a good TE, he's not better than Helm (imo) and he certainly should not be getting drafted 10th overall. He has higher value in the draft than even Bowers did. Warren I can understand going early because he's a beast, but Loveland I just don't get. Maybe that's just being bias, I don't know.
  20. My apologies, I didn't read the first name properly. Just saw the last name and thought it was Nico. Well, if he was paid then there likely was a contract and you have to fulfil that obligation. Whoever is behind these two boys, is not doing them any favours.
  21. Not to pile on, but do we think special teams has collectively gotten worse since Coach Sark's first year? I remember they used to actively get after Punter's and try different looks, etc. Plus, our recruiting at the K and P spots hasn't seemed all that great. Is there an issue there that needs to be addressed or am I making too big of a deal on that? Regardless of my complaints, wish this young man all the best, despite his struggles last year, we can't forget all the good he did and that he was a good Longhorn. Hope he finds the right spots for himself and to the person who said get a haircut, I disagree, the fro looks great.
  22. I disagree about Burke. He hasn't had a ton of playing time, having to wait behind guys. Now that he's in the drivers seat, I think we'll see him shine. Vasek has huge upside, but he just needs to get his body right.
  23. I honestly think Burke, with more playing time, is about to shine. If Vasek can get his health right, he'll be a weapon. We also have Moore back and Umeozulu coming a long. Can't hurt to kick the tires on a guy like this though, very impressive young man.
  24. That entire offense is going to be a massive question mark. A complete offensive redo, with completely new offensive players is not going to go as well as people think. Plus they lost a lot on D, too.
