  1. This team fell apart when the games mattered. Not trying to hate, just telling the truth.
  2. Recruiting is even more volatile now, especially with NIL deals factoring in. Though I do hope the young man realizes that taxes are quite high in Cali, so if they are throwing that kind of serious money around, you need to factor in your taxes. Now, as for him going to USC, well I don't get it outside of the money angle. If that's all it is, I don't think the commit will stick. I'd say with 90% certainty that this staff sticks on him to get him to flip.
  3. I don't disagree with you, watched him quite a bit at Westlake and he was a baller there. If he has another great year, I could also potentially see him going #1. Depends on who needs a QB in the next draft and what you're willing to trade, etc.
  4. Leavitt is pretty good, but I'm not sure he's all that. Struggles as a passer, won't have a great RB to take the edge off himself. I think the game with ASU was a lot closer than it probably should've been but we'll see how it goes. As for Klubnik, he had a rough start to his college career, but he's come a long quite a bit. We'll see how he goes this year. For Arch, I think the talent is obvious, even in the small sample sizes we saw. He'll have some lumps early on but now that he is the clear guy, he'll improve leaps and bounds, imo. I also agree with Gerry about Sellers, great QB but I'm not sure they have the guys around him to maximize his talent. Which would be unfortunate.
  5. I think it is, there is talent in that room. It'll be up to Baker to make it work.
  6. Don't look down on the DT room, I think they can get to a really good place. Some good additions over the off-season to help fill in a room that was bare outside of the guys already there, in part because of Davis. I've been impressed with what Baker has done with the room in just 1 recruiting cycle.
  7. So, the teams he'll be playing are much tougher than anything WSU played. Not only that, his OL doesn't look all that impressive and he's having to build a new rapport with his receivers. Not saying they can't be good, I just don't see where all the excitement is coming from for them. Even defensively, they lost a lot of key pieces. But I see where you're coming from.
  8. Eh, I don't get all the hype. New system, new players and new playcaller, etc. I'm sure they'll be improved offensively, but didn't they lose a crap ton defensively? I can't see them being drastically better.
  9. Isn't that a reflection on Coach Pierce though?
  10. I honestly love what they're doing with the LB room. It's in much better shape than what Coach Sark inherited when he first arrived. Lots of really good talent starting to take shape there.
  11. I'm not sure he's thinking about or looking for common ground, lol.
  12. Man what is about Arky that is giving us so much trouble lol.
  13. Ah right, my apologies then. I must've missed the original article.
  14. I'm sorry, I think you read the list wrong. They have Texas at #1 and Penn State at #4? Unless I completely whiffed on the sarcasm here?
  15. So if Guilbeau moves to the other Corner spot, who fills in at Nickel?
  16. Meh, just clickbait. Texas top 5 but shouldn't be #1. If you just won the Natty, you should be #1 imo. But I don't put much stock in these.
  17. Well, we just saw one from Alabama go in the 1st, so not completely impossible, but I do agree. Best he could get to is 2nd (which is still great). I think he makes a huge leap this coming year and hopefully takes on a more leadership role there.
  18. Taaffe is a great player, but teams won't draft him in the 2nd round. I think the best he's looking at is late 3rd/4th round, imo. I forgot about some of the portal guys, Endries at TE is pretty solid, considering Helm somehow slide down to the 4th round, I could see him ending up there possibly? Watson I'm not sure, maybe similar or better than Broughton ended up? It's hard to predict, tbh. I do agree about Baker, Campbell and Goosby.
  19. It's definitely better than ending up in Cleveland lol. QB graveyard.
  20. That injury for Bond really hampered him. Definitely should've come back for another year. Feel bad for the guy, because prior to the injury, he was 100% a 1st rounder.
  21. Goosby could be a 1st rounder if he keeps working hard. Same with Baker. I don't think DJ Campbell will be a first, but with another year in the oven (so to speak) he could massively improve his draft stock. I think Cam Williams might be regretting that decision but that's just my opinion and not based in fact. Muhammed could be a 1st rounder if he continues to improve. But these are all what if's. The ones you listed, are almost for sure things, if it plays out the way it should.
  22. What do you think was the biggest concern with teams not wanting to draft Majors? I think he's got what it takes between the ears to play C in the NFL, but I'm questioning his physicality in the middle in the NFL.
  23. I'm not sure if it was him struggling, as him trying to come back from a pretty serious injury. We heard in the offseason how much it was hampering him. But that's also a knock on him, that his 3 years at Texas, he's been injured every year. A long with some other things he hasn't improved upon in his game.
  24. If Bond was healthy, he's a 1st rounder easy.
  25. I'd be surprised if he's not starting, that was one of his biggest reasons for going there.
