  1. Forgot to put, if you could run it down Clemsons throat, you can most definitely run it down Arizona States throat. Run the ball and make them stop it. Don't get cute, stay on top of them and this is an easy first half blow out (imo). They don't have anywhere near the weapons that Clemson does or other teams we've faced this year. The Big 12 is pretty weak. As I said, no home town hero stuff in this one (Klubnik) and Texas is way too talented across the board to lose this, with great coaching on top. I want to see us stay aggressive in the 2nd half this week though. We tend to take our foot off teams throats in the 2nd half for some reason.
  2. No home town hero stuff in this one, Texas is focused and puts a beat down on the Sun Devils. 30-40 points victory.
  3. Man we just losing out on every front, lol. That's not a panic or anything hateful, just the truth at the moment. But to be fair, we really don't need a ton in the portal, so it does make sense.
  4. Sucks but oh well. No reason to overpay players. Best of luck to him, Hope he enjoys chasing DB's.
  5. I can see some of your points, but I think PK would learn to be a little more aggressive with getting pressure like he was in the 1st half vs the 2nd half against Clemson. I'm not worried about MM, he's had one bad game, he wasn't the only one. They'll see it, get it sorted and go take it out on ASU.
  6. Nah, I don't think he could. I think he'll play really well, like he has most of the season. But I don't think one game of Klubnik playing his best in his home town, is something to get crazy about. These boys will be laser focused from now on. One thing I think Oregon has that we haven't seen in spades, is the sheer overall speed of their O. Their D is really not that great, it would be more to see if we can put the clamps on that speed running all over us.
  7. I think he let his frustration get to him a bit more than usual. Because he's in good coverage and the ball still gets there. You can see it at the end of that play. I think several of the guys tried to calm him down, but it was already in his head at that point. Find it interesting that no one has mentioned Hill in coverage, he got beat twice for TD's. Once over the top and one where he misread his zone coverage and was sliding over and left the WR or RB wide open for the TD in the endzone.
  8. Nah not that big of a surprise. They returned a bit from last years really good squad and added a bunch of "move in's" on top of that. They kicked the c rap out of Permian in the 2nd round, looked like our boys were running in slow motion next to them, lol.
  9. He was but they were also really good throws into windows he couldn't do much. That was part of the frustration we saw from the DB's out there. I think Klubnik was playing his ass off in Austin, where he's from. Not sure QB's are going to play like that every week against us.
  10. I remember reading that he's had nagging injuries all year, I don't think he's been passed up. I expect him and Burke to share more snaps with Simmons and possibly Umeozulu as the main rotation at Edge.
  11. Yeah, Bobby corrected me. I might need my eyes checked then. Thanks for letting me know though.
  12. Ah, I thought I saw it was him. My bad then.
  13. Dude was really good for them. Didn't like that blind side block on Majors, but can't blame him for that and trying to make a play. If he is jumping in, that would be amazing. We need to get him if that is the case.
  14. That would be crazy. Wasn't he the guy who put the cheap shot in Majors? Either way, very talented DL.
  15. I was talking nonsense during the game about our D, but I went and watched some of the footage and man he was throwing some absolute dots out there. I think we got very passive on D in the 2nd half, If we had kept getting after him, I think he wouldn't have been as effective. BUT, in saying all that, he put Clemson on his back and lead them very well. Noticed that Ant Hill got burned twice on two of his TD passes. Not sure if he was banged up or not, but everyone is allowed to have a bad game. We forget that this D has carried the team, dam near all season. Boys and coaches will get it fixed. Can't wait to see our guys vs Skateboo, I bet they're going to be fired up and get after it.
  16. Dropping all that money to still be a mid tier team in the Big 12, LOL. God it's going to be hilarious when they still get their ass handed to them.
  17. Looks like some crystal balls coming in for Sydir Mitchell to LSU.
  18. Thank you, I did some reading after this. Apparently he's not much of a pass rusher but he's a great run stopper/lane plugger. Teams had a hard time running the ball with him on the field. Was reading a post by someone who watched a ton of Washington State ball. Have to agree, that you at least kick the tires on him.
  19. Tech big money guys are throwing money around this portal cycle. Don't think it matters for them though, because they'll still be a mid tier Big 12 team and McGuire still going to get fired.
  20. I've no idea who this guy even is or if he is a take, but compared to those teams listed, we have a playoff game in a few days that is of much more importance. He has some decent size for the position, but what is his production like? How many snaps has he played?
  21. The only knock on Banks, is his height and arm length. Apart from that, he's the best T prospect in the NFL draft. To let him slip to the 2nd round, would be a steal for someone, but beyond stupid for every NFL team to do so.
  22. Imagine he actually fumbles that and we recover? Because they couldn't jump on a fumble to save their lives in that game, lol. Literally nothing went our way in that one.
  23. This will take a few years of solid DL recruiting from Baker. Davis really slacked in that area. Only two of his recruits are still on campus. I think you'll need a guy or two in the following year, to supplement the 3 Fr from this year, January and hopefully Hills.
  24. We're going to see a few former Longhorns on the schedule next year.
  25. This is frustrating. I've no idea how we keep losing these types of guys, lol. Anyway, enough of the pity party. Best of luck to him chasing DB's after Arnold throws 5 interceptions a game, lol. Shame we missed on the kid who went to A&M, that guy has ridiculous speed, too.
