  1. If the criminals only win five or six, they gotta fire Venables even though they gave him the extension. Haven't seen the buyout numbers, but they can't wait three more years. If they do wise up and can Venables, Sark better prepare for them trying to poach Nansen or Banks. I don't know if they would, but they would if they're smart.
  2. The Tennessee game will give Venables the chance he needs to bench Arnold. If the Vols convincingly beat the criminal interlopers with Iamaleava playing well and Arnold doing what he does, then Venables can reasonably tell the guys who paid for Arnold that it's not working out and they need to look elsewhere. Don't know that he will, but that's the only chance he has to prevent a complete disaster this season.
  3. If Venables has a pair, he'll tell Arnold to go ahead and transfer to Texas Tech in December if he wants and make the switch to Hawkins. It's bad enough that Venables allowed himself to get bullied into shipping out Gabriel so Arnold could start; time to call daddy's bluff (your son sucks) and make the right coaching decision.
  4. I could easily see them losing every SEC game, which would be just four wins for the season. I still think they find a way to beat South Carolina at home (not a given by any means), getting them to five. I think six is the max barring some miraculous turn around. Toward the end of that podcast, the Soonerscoop guys mentioned that they don't think Venables will replace Arnold with Hawkins before the tail end of the season because of the amount of money invested.
  5. Oregon looks about like the criminal sooners.
  6. Criminal interloper sooners are only going to win four or five. I was thinking they'd beat South Carolina. Maybe not.
  7. Must say that I'm glad to see it's really the same old Notre Dame.
  8. I don't see how no one else knew. I can believe he "ran" the operation by doing the leg work, but he had to get to information to others. Did the coach or coaches to whom he was relaying the information think he was clairvoyant?
  9. Doug seems like a good guy. I must say, it's hard to believe that he really thinks Stalions acted alone. If Stalions acted alone, then there's no scandal because he had to communicate the information from the stolen signs to some coaches, who in turn communicated to players on the field. It's bizarre to see how are far these guys are willing to go to rationalize what was obviously a cheating conspiracy. I hope Texas isn't like Michigan in that regard.
  10. I watched a Wolverine podcast in which one of the guys said he watched the Texas v. Colorado State game and the Longhorns wide receivers couldn't get separation. I don't if he was just trying to make his guys feel good or he was lying about watching the game.
  11. I looked at his season stats and it seems Ward certainly hasn't been bad in the least. That said, I've read stuff saying he's made inopportune mistakes against good competition in big games. Maybe that's not really true. I haven't seen enough of him to say.
  12. Hasn't Ward had consistency and turnover problems over the years?
  13. Starting to think Samples is a bigger charlatan than Deion. The bright side is that at least you know that kids willing to fall for this stuff probably aren't likely to have what it takes in the long run. It's a shame in this case because Barnes seemed like an honest and forthright kid. Even if it's just a money deal for a visit, it's still a red flag.
  14. Speaking of Oregon, I'm thinking the "Gabriel for Heisman" odds took a hit. He had some yards, but he hardly looked like an elite QB.
  15. Kind of embarrassing that what was supped to be about the fifth best SEC team lost to about the fifth best Big 10 team at a neutral site. Up to the Longhorns to redeem conference honor Saturday.
  16. The Irish could go 12-0 and you still couldn't convince me they aren't a joke. Mountain West teams have tougher schedules. That schedule is embarrassing.
  17. I went back and watched the film of the criminal interlopers, concentrating on the o-line. Unless Bedenbaugh pulls a miracle, we'll beat them by at least thirty.
  18. We'll see what Weigman is made of now. That was horrible.
  19. The o-line for the criminals had problems too. Interesting to see how this plays out. The good news for them is that Arnold didn't turn the ball over.
  20. As we enter the season, I would like to reiterate that Paul Howe chose to live in east Texas.
  21. Is this a joke?
  22. Is meth still a big problem in the land of the criminal interlopers? Checking out their sites, they seem to think they're likely to beat Tennessee, Auburn and Missouri. They say Texas, Ole Miss, Alabama and LSU are "toss ups." Meaning they'll win nine or ten games and "compete for the playoff." Optimism is one thing; blind idiocy is something else.

  23. Jackson Arnold is a DJU kind of QB.
  24. We know that Williams is planning to enroll in January. Will he play baseball for the Longhorns at that time?
