  1. I’ve said it for a while now, Sark has topped out as a college program builder. He can take you from bad to good and even really good. But taking you from really good to great takes a special kind of coach, the kind that I don’t believe Sark is.
  2. @Gerry Hamilton you are really high on Freeman. Can you tell us why you think he’s so good and why it hasn’t resulted in a title at Notre Dame? Like Sark, he seems to be a good, but not great head coach. I don’t see more than that in him. What am I missing?
  3. I think Arch is shook by the jailbreak he experiences damn near every time he drops back. IMO, Sark has failed him by putting a ragtag bunch of OLinemen in front of him. Quinn would have been sacked 30 times already by this oline.
  4. I think if Sayin were here and Arch at OSU, you’d be saying the same thing, but in reverse. It ain’t Arch…
  5. I think Sark spends a lot of offseason time planning for certain games. You can tell them because they look a bit different in performance than the others Last year it was Michigan, OU, A&M, and Georgia (we just got physically whipped the 1st game). This year it was OSU, OU and I expect us to play one of our best games of the year against A&M. Miss. St. game will be another ugly battle, but I don’t see us getting out with a win and Vandy may very well embarrass us at home. Apparently what I thought was progression against OU, was really just extra prep in the offseason.
  6. Texas now has 4 straight years of mediocre to bad play at quarterback with two of the highest rated QBs to ever be recruited. We have a coaching problem folks! I believe we’ve seen the best of Sark as a program builder. He’s topped out!
  7. Woeful oline recruiting in the portal and high school is the main issue here. How would Fassusi and Pregnon or World look on the right side? And I love Wisner, but we got all the squeeze out of that catchup last year. Just not enough explosion to be a consistently high level back in this league. Sark just abandoned the running game. I think it’s time to question his preparedness and strategizing during game week and his inability to adjust in game
  8. I envisioned Mosley being that guy. How does he compare to Moore and how do you think he fits in when he returns?
  9. What’s changed about our depth chart that would make him change his mind?
  10. Mack is an anomaly.
  11. I’m not calling for him to be fired at all, but I am of the belief that we may have seen the best of Sark as a coach and program builder. It’s not a given that he’s going to win titles here. When we look back on the Sark era, we may realize that his best contribution to the program was to get it back to a championship “caliber” program. The vast majority of coaches who won titles did so within the first five years of being the coach of the team/program. History shows that if Sark doesn’t do it this season, he probably never will with Texas.
  12. I don’t think we gonna see much different than what we’ve seen. 3-4 games is a pretty good gauge of what you are as a team. Unless Arch makes monumental steps forward, we’re gonna take a step back this year.
  13. If this isn’t broken, what’s heck does broken look like??? 😳
  14. He’s just two starts in. Let’s let him settle in a bit before we throw him out.
