QuanCosbysBurner Posted June 11 Posted June 11 Just so you’re all fully aware the Texas Tech “Founders Society” which has Cody Campbell on the board is a MAJOR donation contributor to Ken Paxtons political fund. syracusehorn Posted June 11 Posted June 11 (edited) Looks like a lot of corrupt people are ok with turning college sports into pro wrestling. Any short-term gain will be negated by long-term losses. But no one seems to think long term anymore. Edited June 11 by syracusehorn 10 Quote
syracusehorn Posted June 11 Posted June 11 Every university that fields DI sports should contribute to a legal fund to thwart Paxton's BS. If Tech is allowed to play Sorsby this fall, college sports is a thing of the past. The whole enchilada. 2 Quote
tommym Posted June 11 Posted June 11 Thank god, I am moving to China for four years. This is a extreme crap show. Well, Campbell donates to Paxton and Cruz, a kid made bets on games should be banned. Pete Rose banned from baseball, Mickey Mantle step into a Casino in the 50s or 60s got suspended. Do they understand anything, if these is the case was doesnt the Republicans want to bring corporate casinos to Texas? What a messed up state of college sports? 2 1 Quote

tommym Posted June 11 Posted June 11 Sorry meant Middleton will push these as attorney general. These is not a political thing it is sports. So, weird that every sports commentator is agreement this wrong. I apologize for the mistake of the next attorney general. 1 Quote

Not worried about the politics side more so just showing that there is some seriously shady stuff going on behind the scenes that people need to see! Plus if it’s up to me Hank you’d have my vote! 😂 4 Quote
FatherofMinky Posted June 11 Posted June 11 Surprised Cody Campbell hasn’t ran for office yet honestly lol Quote

Roy Hinojosa Posted June 11 Posted June 11 This is so ham fisted by Campbell and the Tech sycophants. At least come out and say that you don't care about what you're preaching about integrity in college sports, and just say that you just care about forwarding the interests in Tech. Also, I was listening to the Ruffino and Joe show and they had a good point about Campbell. In that USA today article, Campbell said something to the effect of that if Sorsby plays next season he owes him $5 million dollars. Isn't that pay for play? Did Campbell just admit to cheating? @Bobby Burton 2 Quote

tommym Posted June 11 Posted June 11 So now the Texas Attorney Journal is the private law firm of Texas Tech. So, if Tech doesnt make the playoffs they going to file a injunction in Texas. Because, Cotton Bowl is in Texas, that's a playoff game. I know, I am going to far. I just believe at the end of the day you bet on games you play in, you are done. Look at the NBA last year, they had guaranteed contracts they are out of league. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. I am no into politics, I am a moderate. But, any political or government agency involved with this loses credibility and whatever trust one had in them. 8 Quote

Most of DC is compromised by money, so Austin should be no different. Thank goodness for the internet and citizen journalists- this whole affair would have been swept under the rug pre-internet. 1 2 Quote
