Texas Tech and Sorsby have no shame.
genevalonghorn replied to Roy Hinojosa's topic in On Texas Football Forum
It is interesting to me that Tech's road opponents have not launched competing suits, i.e. to determine Sorsby's eligibility to play in their states. This would include Oregon (playing Oregon State), Colorado, Ohio (playing Cincy), and Oklahoma (playing OSU). None of those is in the Fifth Circuit. You could say the same thing about how teams/schools reacted (or didn't react) to the Chambliss and Pavia cases. -

I disagree about Texas. And it happened to Iowa State and they didn't. -
25-26 Director's Cup Thread

Well, my worst freaking nightmare came to be. The SEC golf tournaments are scored based on match play for the top 8 teams and stroke play for 9-16. I had been told by someone in an SEC athletic department in the past that it was stroke play but they must have been wrong. Unfortunately, there is no detailed scoring info available but I have finally been in contact with the USA today writer who puts out the scores. Florida comes out on top by 0.25 points. -

Please bring in Cat as much as possible to comment on softball or any other subject she cares to discuss with no time limits. Also, can we restart the OTF swim calendar once the litigation from the last installment is settled ?

This is akin to a truck driver filing an injunction to get out of jail and have his license returned after getting drunk and killing someone on the job and the rationale is that the driver would be irreparably harmed. -
Do You Still Consider Nebraska a Blue Blood?

Osborne had a better recruiting in Texas when Nebraska was in the Big 8 not the Big 12. The Big 12 was the beginning of the end and Big 10 closed the door. -
Being on a national network is where Bobby has made his mark (Rivals, 247, On3). It also gives subscribers access to other teams.

This is an obnoxious response. The irony of your statement is that now the coaches are actually going to focus harder than they did even a year ago on developmental prospects with upside. So, paradoxically, it might be more likely going forward that the coaches would find another Murphy and Sweat than the trend lines the last few years would suggest. But my point was that if you can find a 5- or high-4-star DT, you go all-in because they are like a supernova if they hit their ceiling. Okay, how about this: you go offer all the 3-star DTs that you’d like hoping to find Byron Murphy and I’ll go pay $1.5M to Jalen Carter. Deal?

Funny, once tom Osborne threw his tantrum and Nebraska bolted for the big 10 they lost their recruiting in Texas. How’d that work out? -

Props where it's due, Texas took aggy's women's tennis coach and they found a replacement who's brought them championships. Sometimes a blind squirrel finds a nut. -

I'm pretty sure any school, including Texas, would do the same thing if they were in Tech's position. -

Also if Ole Miss didn't choke a massive 8 run lead with 3 outs to go; they likely win that regional as well. -

Read my follow-up post. They clearly are a blue blood program based on overall resume, but at what point does their downward trajectory kick them out of the club? OU will be competitive going forward, but they are never going to be a dominant force in college football again unless something drastic changes like pooling revenues. -
