LeBron James Signs With the Philadelphia 76ers

Disgusting! -
I always wondered how the recruiting services got it so wrong with Goosby and his 3 star ranking but it makes sense now because I didn't know his open-heart surgery was when he was 16. I'm sure he missed a lot of high school ball so there must not have been much film. Don't know how I missed that when he was recruited. Awesome story though. He was destined to be a success regardless of what he did.

OTF Premium Texas basketball 2026-27 season thread

You can only have 15 players on a roster at a time in college basketball. With the addition of Marcus Spears Jr., all 15 of those spots are occupied at Texas now, so Pope and Weaver, if they win their cases, will be playing for different teams this college basketball season. -
It’s clear we’re viewing the game differently. I’m looking at in gameplay calling in situations and how the defense is aligned, allowing extended drives because of poor defensive alignment, lack of pressure on the quarterback when you have the opponent backed up on the their goal line for example, those continuous 8 to 12 play drives didn’t need to happen. How how many 3rd & longs were converted into first downs or fourth and short? And I haven’t even touched on the poor communication between the front and backend that PK struggled with as a DC. PK was a good DC, he just wasn’t elite.

Gerry mentioned Texas has no interest in bringing either him or Weaver back. Spots are filled -

Have you heard anything about Jordan Pope's appeal and is Texas interested (do we even have room)? -
I just got through watching the entire season on ESPNU, and looking back on the entire season, our defense was by far the best and most consistent part of our team. Sark always liked complementary football, so how much did the turnovers and all the quick punts hurt the defense? Against Vandy and Miss State, Taffe was out, and in the first quarter of the Vandy game, Jalani McDonald dislocated his thumb and was out the rest of the game. We were playing with backups at safety, and Gillbeaux at corner was a liability as well. Those were not the DC's fault. Just bad luck and what he had left to work with.

43 Days Until Kickoff: Who Is Your Favorite No. 43?
Blake Munroe replied to Blake Munroe's topic in On Texas Football Forum
There's not a 43 on the roster this season. -
Today’s countdown spot belongs to the best Longhorns to wear No. 43, led by defensive end Kalen Thornton. Thornton played at Texas from 2000–03, appearing in 46 games with 35 starts. He finished his career with 155 tackles, 33 tackles for loss, 14 sacks and 75 quarterback pressures. He earned Freshman All-American honors in 2000, was named honorable mention All-Big 12 in 2003 and was selected as Texas’ Outstanding Defensive End following his senior season. Also representing No. 43 is linebacker Jett Bush. The former walk-on earned a scholarship in 2020 and went on to play in 58 career games with six starts. Bush recorded 60 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and three sacks over his final four seasons. His biggest moment came in 2023 when he returned an interception 43 yards for a touchdown against Texas Tech during the Longhorns’ Big 12 championship season. 43 days to go, y'all.

For some reason, I thought this was going to be the Big 10 and Big 12 demanding 24 teams make it to Omaha. 😉

Cole Pittman RIP! Jeffcoat had a great senior year. -
I think adding more player interviews like Goosby’s is a solid idea, and I’ve been keeping an eye on player stats through LaLiga 2 resultados y calendario for my own football tracking. It works well for following match schedules and scores, so it might give you ideas for structuring a player segment or schedule viewer tool on OTF.
