  1. Past hour
  2. Center, yup scheme, play the hits. Make them stop stuff. They didn’t take the perimeter game away all day so we did it for them guards, Sikorsky was supposed to be back up and Baker was supposed to ascend but neither has been worth at damn. defense-gotta make more plays on the balls in the short game. Have to be aggressive and take that away.
  3. Eh, sports are championships are bust now.
  4. "Well, I woke up Sunday mornin' With no way to hold my head that didn't hurt And the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad So I had one more for dessert ..."
  5. I remember this well. His name might be Dia Bell.
  6. I’m just looking out for you my guy. Drive safely.
  7. Arch gotta go Portal… at this point! Bench Arch …. Start Lacy … thats it….. Florida changed qb midseason…went for it 4 th n 12. Saved their season ! Lacy / Dia gets this team rolling even w 1-2 losses till traction….recruits see it … players see it … they believe. Arch is Gone to portal! Texas must play Lacy- Dia Competition. hell let their be a allout competition btwn them Arch must sit … he is 3 rd string til one gets hurt!
  8. Arch is in a lot of TV commercials, and he hasn't done anything. When success comes before results, the kids get spoiled. Arch is half a season from being a total bust.
  9. Might not have to fake anything with Will Echoles coming up. I’m not wishing arch injury, but this is about to be a serious problem.
  10. I’m driving back from Austin. Lighten up.
  11. Go one more game if it’s a loss, and arch doesn’t play well he changes. If he goes another game past that, then coffee and football talk will be even better
  12. Lot of losses this week, benefits sark and Texas, he will mention Monday
  13. We do have an identity—as an offense, a special teams unit, and a defensive unit. As a complete team, we are aggressively wired. When Sark calls a slow-developing play on 4th-and-inches, he’s looking to take advantage of a defense that’s overly aggressive in trying to stop the run and turn that aggression into an explosive play. When Manning looks off the checkdown, he’s hunting for a chunk play. On special teams, we’re willing to gamble on kickoffs to gain an advantage, enticing teams to return the ball so we can pin them inside the 20. The unfortunate reality is that when aggression doesn’t work, it can shift momentum to the other side. We used to make fun of Tom Herman for saying his goal was to get two first downs every possession. But there’s some wisdom in playing good, old-school field-position football. Sometimes, you don’t have to hit the home run. Sometimes, you just need to move the chains, flip the field, and make the other team drive the length of it. The key to beating Sark right now is to take away the explosives and make him earn it the hard way. Eventually, his aggressive nature is going to tempt him to push the envelope. In my opinion, that aggression has contributed to each of the last two losses. But I’m still 10 toes deep! @Rod Baberssaid 10–2, so I’m hopeful this team can dig deep, make the necessary adjustments, and turn this thing around. I understand the struggle of being a prodigy and the nonlinear road it takes to reach greatness. (Not saying I’ve reached greatness myself, but I’m on my way! ) Hopefully, Sark—the offensive savant—and Manning can reach that greatness while they’re here at Texas. Enjoy your Sunday! 🙏🏾 I’m calling it Restoration Sunday. 10–2. Hook ’em! 🤘🏾
  14. 1. The center position. This has been a glaring weakness since at least UTSA. 2. Offensive Scheme. Our first drive vs Florida was awesome. We attacked the perimeter. We scored and then we went into a offensive scoring drought until the 4th quarter. 3. Personnel . You mean to tell me that Derrick Cooper can’t be trusted to gain a half yard on 4th and a foot? feel free to add your own areas of “evaluation”
  15. Today
  16. …argue all you want you won’t change my mind
  17. The point I was making was there was lots of talk about running off Mack because he couldn’t beat OU, and by mid 2004 VY was in his his third year in the program. The poster I responded to said when that talk starts it means the beginning of the end. Turns out that end was nearly a decade away.
  18. To back your point , see Keelon Russell yesterday against Tenn. Tenn., D made him look bad.
  19. To your point, I thought Russell at Bama was elite . Tenn. D yesterday made him look like , well, like Arch has looked in some games. I think one reason we lost yesterday is going for it end of first half at mid field with two TD lead giving them short field to go down and score. We can not pick up fourth and one . I think Arch needs to transfer and play another year. Go to Indiana or Kentucky or LSU and see what they can do with him. Really like the kid but not working out here. By the way, we are not only ranked team to lose yesterday. Never seen anything like yesterday. Can we say parity?
  20. If you are worried about being good in basketball ... you will be be good. If you are a national title or bust ...nobody is saying that.
  21. Cal hasn't made poor adjustments. He hasn't made any in game adjustments that qualify as tactical manipulation, You know John Wooden won ten titles. Coach K won five titles. Roy Williams won three titles. Bob Knight won three titles. The list goes on. Cal's had more talent than any of those coaches. No one who knows anything about basketball thinks Cal is close to someone like Pitino as an actual coach.
  22. This right here. Blocking matters hitting wide open receivers matters too but how many sacks are we giving up and even worse how many are happening when we really can’t afford them
  23. Everyone would rather have more than one. You're downplaying winning a title. You do realize he has 863 wins at 75.2 win percentage? Not many D1 coaches go 38-2 multiple times by having poor adjustments.
  24. I'd rather have more than one, especially if I've had better players than everyone else for almost twenty years. This is not news. Everyone in basketball has talked about this for years: Cal's a recruiter, not a high-level tactician or actual game coach. He "sells" dreams, and in general delivers on it at an individual level insofar as he does get many guys to the NBA. Differently stated, he "sells" big time more than he wins big time. That's why he's a shyster.
