  1. Past hour
  2. I don’t think Sark was trying to make it about Tech. See his comments on “basket weaving” and Ole Miss. Sark is fighting for his university and his team and he is still sore from missing out on the CFP last year. Did Texas deserve to be in over teams who played much less staunch opponents? As a fan, I say yes. But judging based solely on record, no. So Sark is leaning in on highlighting the disparity in opponent and schedule, which is stark. He is making the case for Texas he was making last year. He is publicly posturing for acceptance of the narrative that it’s harder to win at Texas than other places. Is that fair? Who knows. But I think he’s sick of the “Texas is the bogeyman” stigma and he’s coming out “guns blazing” (sorry Tech). He’s right and the system is flawed and unsustainable. Until more applicable metrics are applied, and a broader range of them, schools with a difficult conference and OOC schedules will be negatively impacted.
  3. I think this evaluation is low and once Muschamp utilizes Giffridge/Kanu/Sharma, Justus Terry, Lance Jackson others at DT /3 tech/DE and you put Simmons dedicated rush—we will be dominant. Getting healthy Vasek and Zina we will be scary. Lance Jackson showed up as a true freshman and made plays last year. I’m more excited about our defense next year than our offense.
  4. I had to do some parenting today and knew I wouldn’t get to watch the first 5 innings or so. So good surprise to check in to an 11 run lead. But I need to watch the replay.
  5. Both sides are complete trash! If you latch yourself onto siding with one or the other you’re only fooling yourself.
  6. I went to UT with an Annabelle Jespersen. Any relation?
  7. Sark’s point wasn’t that TT sucks but their schedule does and it makes it difficult to compare a SEC record to a Big12 record because of the disparity in difficulty. Don’t take it out of context. He never said Texas would beat Tech just that Texas would have had a better record playing Techs schedule
  8. So let me get this straight - the guy ran a four‑year, $90k offshore‑account‑carousel of bets, used friends and family as cutouts, wagered on his own team, kept gambling through two transfers, and was still firing off bets after arriving at Tech… and we’re supposed to pretend this was just ‘a couple bad decisions’?
  9. I say this as a lib. OTF should keep him around. There's been enough from the snowflakes on all sides of the political spectrum.
  10. "our 2s and 3s can't beat them" isn't punching down? If Ohio State ever came out and talked shxt about Toledo, Bama about UAB, or if Coca Cola ever talked shxt about RC Cola, you wouldn't think that's cheap? All this did was elevating Tech to our level. Why else would we even acknowledge them?
  11. If Colt didn’t get hurt it is a completely different game.
  12. I firmly believe Sark was talking to guys like Jalen Brewster, Benny Easter, Sarad Baker to not jump at the $$ and come to a real school with real competition. I really just hate the idea of punching down to a skank school like Tech to make them feel relevant. Also, not sure about protecting Arch. Sark doesn't seem the Mack type. Also, as Burton said, not one question was about Arch, so it's not like he was attracting all sorts of negative attention.
  13. Is the June 8 date the 1st day of Summer workouts for the SEC?
  14. From a completely nonpartisan perspective (as he attacks and boosts folks from all parties), is OTF comfortable continuing to have Adam Loewy, who has become one of the most politically charged commentators on the internet, as a core sponsor? I mean this with no disrespect to OTF at all, but given the site’s commitment to avoiding politics this seems antithetical to that notion.
  15. According to ESPN, Sorsby placed at least 40 bets on Indiana football as Hoosiers QB. He’s a perfect fit for the Tech program.
  16. After 3 early birdies a rash of Bogeys have hit the horns in the first 6 holes. Texas is +2 early in round one of stroke play. T17.
  17. @Rod Babers “In Tech’s eyes, this has been a successful offseason.” I love you, brother, but that is a laughable statement. They just spent $6M+ on a QB who in all likelihood will never play a down for them. A team with national championship aspirations just a few weeks ago is now scrambling to either throw their morals in the garbage to re-gain his eligibility or rummage through the trash heap for a backup QB, and is so desperate for relevance that they try to cheap-talk their way into the national conversation by puffing their chest out against Texas. This offseason has been a disaster for them.
  18. UCSB vs. Tarleton should be worth watching. 🤘🏼🤘🏻🤘
  19. Three singles and a walk allowed by Jason Flores and the shutout is history.
  20. There’s likely gamesmanship going on here. They know full well Texas wasn’t going to cancel. It was a virtual certainty that Tech would respond when Sark commented. Tech was in a very different place in 2017/2018. The whole college football world was as well. I was merely pointing out that Techs non-conference for this upcoming season was set in motion long ago so any critique of it should consider that. Same for Texas. CDC said we’d honor previous commitments. He was less committed to grand schedules for the future. That makes sense for all teams.
  21. @Bobby Burton can we have watch with us live for away games at somewhere like hays city store. Would be great to do it in person and have it streamin for those that cant attend
