At no point during this saga did tech ever do the right thing. They’re still talking about how they were right. Other universities would have hired a PR firm and lawyers (for advice not litigation) and they would have done the right thing. Tech is an island in the sea of stupidity.

Yeah. He's very, very athletic. Elite pure athlete. Very good open court passer/vision. He did pick A&M. Not a quality basketball decision IMO. He has to develop his game off two feet. Has to build the scoring part of his game to more consistency in future years.

I don't see anyone else outside of Tech doing what they did. The story literally found a way to do the impossible - unite college football. This may have been different pre-sorsby. But now, i don't see any blue blood or non blue blood taking this stance once it goes public. What they do behind the scenes before it goes public or to stop it from going public is a whole different story.

Mine: if he was a backup kicker he is suspended and no challenges. Over. per Josh Pate— what if the same problem drops on UT or amy other blueblood, ie high dollar transfer with clean record has same gambling story break 3 mo later. Does the story go differently? I think UT handles it better and the story of Coach Beard may be precedent that they can make difficult decisions even if winning changes hurt in short term. Other blue bloods may go down similar path to tech. Curious what others think.
