@harveycmd Leavitt doesn’t have that mamba mentality
-
What are we talking about? Leavitt hugged ass. Your source at ASU led you astray, Gerry. He sucks. End of story. Wake up.
-
The guy is elusive as hell based on our inability to corral him in that crazy playoff game.
-
What is his brothers role at the school? He can be a real pain in the butt with Kiffin. He was a frosh against us while missing his top WR. He competed as a frosh in a big game. That’s a big deal. I think a J Daniels type season is in the cards.

Texas Tech: The Faces of Desperation
Here for the Wins replied to Bobby Burton's topic in On Texas Football Forum
They scheduled Oregon State back in 2018 as a PAC 12 school not as 2-10 school with no home. They scheduled the ACU series in 2017. SHSU was added as a replacement, which is why we played them, wasn’t it? Replacing CSU, a team we recently had on the schedule. So they are honoring their deals. -
I feel like there's a buckeye site that would have a better audience about what Ryan Day cares about / where you can find the best jet black beard dye

Texas Tech: The Faces of Desperation
Jerky replied to Bobby Burton's topic in On Texas Football Forum
The things you do for billionaires. TT is not passing their version of legislation and imposing the good, the bad and ugly on every other team. Insults and nonsense is not a good tactic to get Texas to play them. Texas has no use for Tech. We already bring Texas viewers to our games. There is no nationwide interest in a Tech that scored zero points in the CFP. Sark doesn't need to play Tech again, he beat them 57-7 🤣. OHST brings us national interest in a night game that will be a highlight for some elite TX recruits. Our schedule is maybe the most challenging in the country. We need and deserve a warmup game before Ohio St. The deals are done. Tickets have been sold. TV and travel plans have been made. We honor our deals. We are not whoring for Tech's benefit. Tech's outbursts and attempts to reschedule our existing game and scramble to play Tech is ludicrous. Media may not call Tech out en mass for multiple issues like they should but the fans see it. Bottomline, Tech could have been more accommodating and worked to schedule a quality opponent other than Texas but they chose to schedule non-conference (2 - 10) Oregon St. That is pitiful. Tech is digging a deeper hole with the Sorsby talk. They have lost credibility. Their up and coming reputation has turned for the worst in 2026. -
This for sure … style of play will take some big shots on the body Per a source in the building in Tempe… the older brother needs to stay out of the way. He’s not helping Sam, and led to soured relationships with the ASU staff

The thing I'm curious about this season is his health. Most college QBs are either fighter pilots or bus drivers and Leavitt is the face of the fighter pilot group. Fun playstyle, but will he be able to hold up for 9 games in the SEC?

NCAA rules on Brendan Sorsby per ESPN
Colby TS replied to Gerry Hamilton's topic in On Texas Football Forum
I’ve seen several posts today claiming that NCAA legal representation is being handled by attorneys from the University of Texas and the University of Houston — is there any truth to that? -
We get it you are in love with him Gerry he is still a fraud QB and that’s ok
-
Sam Leavitt is 6-1 vs top 25 ranked teams as a starter. I'm not saying he's a great player, but he's certainly better than most in CFB at his position. 34-9 TD/INT and a threat with his legs that was a huge part of the turnaround at AzState

Texas Tech coach Joey McGuire pushes for Brendan Sorsby's reinstatement after gambling violations. “He’s got a serious problem, and I think the best place to get help is him being at Texas Tech and him being able to play." LOL

Sark didn’t “punch down.” He made a point about schedule disparity, and Tech turned it into their personality. That’s not on him. Tech feeling “acknowledged” says more about them than it does about Texas. When a program is that desperate for relevance, literally anything you say becomes their Super Bowl. And honestly? If a single offhand line from Sark is enough to make Tech feel important, that tells you exactly where the two programs actually sit. Texas is prepping for Ohio State, Michigan, and Notre Dame. Tech is prepping for quote graphics. This isn’t embarrassing for Texas - it’s embarrassing for Tech that they needed this to feel seen.

Yeah, I don’t think are eager to add either. Presumably they play in the Big 12 championship game. So that’s another game. What is the actual incentive to play a more difficult game? It’s also a two way street. What’s the incentive for anyone else to play them? And when I say anyone, it has to be a team that moves the needle. There are multiple Big 10 teams that don’t. The SEC teams can default to the “it just means more” of the SEC schedule. The ACC is largely more of the same. Miami/Clemson/FSU have their SEC rivals.

I read it as Sark's attempt to highlight strength of schedule more when the committee decides which teams get the last couple of spots in the CFP. Tech can't do much about the weakness of their conference foes but they do control who they schedule out of conference and they didn't seem eager to add any teams with a pulse when they actually had a chance to do it. The only thing I didn't like about Sark's comment was the shot about our 2's and 3's would (could? I forgot the exact quote) go undefeated playing that schedule. We have good 2's at WR and maybe RB and a young but likely talented QB but our 2nd string OL looks pretty weak to be bragging about going undefeated in the Big 12. Likewise on D we could field stout dudes at DL and EDGE and CB but I wouldn't have faith in our 2nd team LB and S units going undefeated. As Bobby B pointed out the whole dust up looks like Sark trying to be the center of attention and not Arch and his second pre-season Heisman while Joey has effectively moved the convo off of Sorsby. Both coaches did a good job changing narratives with these frivolous diversions. Well played gentlemen lol.
