  1. Past hour
  2. Agree, it was a HUGE call at that point in the game. The INT likely would have sealed the game.
  3. I’m worried the HC and OC continues to refuse to simplify the scheme, playbook, and stick with what’s working. Every drive is discombobulated. Nothing is an “identity” and when something does work, he drops it. I don’t get it.
  4. Being both HC and OC/play caller is too big a responsibility in POWER 4, especially in the SEC - and especially at TEXAS, where the off-field duties seem to never end. An average-to-good OC/play caller addition would make a huge difference IMO.
  5. I probably need to watch it again, but have no desire too my thoughts were he did hit him high but was trying to block the pass and follow thru with a hit. I did not think he targeted head and neck area???? Doesn’t matter no going back, but that was a huge call. Have not read many agreeing with me so probably wrong, but the replay looked like no penalty to me
  6. If an elite QB is required to have a consistently good offense then that tells me the play caller is sub-par.
  7. His performance, along with the defense's performance was eerie similar to their defensive performance against Ohio State last season in Columbus. The box score will say that it was a fantastic day from them, but the offside penalties, roughing the passer penalties, and pass interference calls were rough, and there were not enough havoc plays outside of the first few drives in this game from that unit. Obviously, the defense wasn't the main reason Texas lost, but against better offensive football teams, those havoc plays have to come to give this Jekyll and Hyde offense shorter fields to work with.
  8. Finally, a sensible explanation of WTF just happened! 🤘🏻
  9. Keep playing offense like this and it will be less people sitting in the stands.
  10. Respectfully disagree. OU is the last game I would want to lose.
  11. Not everybody was blowing off those performances.
  12. Friday night in Commerce Street used to corral some of those folks. I guess they’re making it to the game these days. LOL
  13. A bit of revision history. I know this won’t be well received but not even offering Mestemaker a walk on opportunity out of HS., Cam Cook from Round Rock at West Virginia has more yards than our RBs combined, UH transfer TE from UTSA Patrick Overmeyer is better than Masunas.
  14. It’s not an excuse but Bud makes a good point.
  15. We should’ve seen this from the start when the reports out of Fall camp scrimmages were constantly Arch wasn’t as sharp as people would like yes i know we’re not expecting him to be perfect but this should’ve been predictable after the reports
  16. Saw a massive brawl leaving the game. Was with my 9 year old nephew. Has anyone noticed the trash on both fan bases come out more for these 2:30 starts
  17. This is gonna be a long week waiting for the Florida game.
  18. Too bad Mukuba had to lose, but it's always great when the Eagles lose. Hurts hugs.
  19. I said the other day in a post that it’s a large enough sample size now that Arch is what he is. He’s not miraculously getting a lot better with a good week of practice. Arch is a good QB, good athlete, but he not elite……not a Heisman Trophy contender type guy like everyone was hyping him to be. I accepted it awhile back. We’ll win alot of games with him but we aren’t going to beat the likes of Georgia. It’s just not happening. Alot of it is on Sark. Sark’s not an elite offensive mind. I accepted that awhile back too. I’ve said this numerous times that I don’t see how a person can call offensive plays and be the head coach at The University of Texas. Some other places you can be at Texas there is too much of a demand on his time. He has a young wife, young baby and I’m sure she is bitching at him alot too. It’s unbelievable the amount of film you have to watch to be ready to call plays in the SEC and he doesn’t have that kind of time. He relys on Milwee and that other QB coach to break it down and he tries to call it from that. It won’t work at Texas. It worked at Alabama because that’s all he was responsible for and Saban had way better players than everyone else.
  20. Hit to the neck/head is going to draw a flag. Be smart.
  21. The identity is BINGO. Just reach in and pull out a play.
  22. There is none. My preference has always been backs like Kewan Lacy, or Georgia/Alabama type backs. Cooper fits that type. Don’t like these 5’9-5’10 under 200lb backs. Give me a physical run game with a mobile QB with play action, roll outs, tunnel screens. Control the game. Hate these long developing plays. Sark wants to be pretty and finesse and take long shots down the field. Problem is, the OL can’t consistently move/protect.
