  1. Past hour
  2. I hate for them to not get used. They did sell for I think $50 each to a couple of UT fans (they sat next to us). It was great atmosphere at the game - we had a blast.
  3. Until I see the offense is more consistent, very little confidence in the joke offense.
  4. Reminds me of the Longest Yard where the prisoner olinemen let Burt Reynolds get annihilated.
  5. What are the odds that every one of our OL misses their block and the center gets knocked on his rear end. This is one of those tragedies that gave way to the laughter scene in The Moneypit. I mean, what else can you do besides capitulate and laugh on the outside?
  6. The line is giving Arch 3 seconds to throw. That is plenty of time unless we are trying to throw bombs every other play. Winning football is 4-6 yard gains every other play. Sark is the gambler at the roulette table, thinking he knows which single number is coming up next. Mannings' legs are fine, but he is going to get ding donged. It's a matter of time. He doesn't play RB very well. KJ better be ready.
  7. Hitting intermediate passes turn into chunk plays. 10% of intermediates may turn into long gains... Bombs convert at 5%, maybe. Sark lives in a statistical world that does not flow with the game unless he has elite talent above and beyond other teams. That doesn't exist anymore.
  8. Guilty. I'm the opposite of CJ.
  9. My parents stop there for the kolaches. But for pecans and gifts for holidays, there's only one place IMO. Berdoll's does a really nice job with that. 🙂
  10. Believing in your scheme and/or players to a fault. It happens.
  11. Today
  12. How does an offensive guru not figure out that the juice isn’t worth the squeeze until week 7?
  13. Did he mean to say stinker?
  14. Quinn was hell on wheels with the short and intermediate passing game.
  15. Crazy how similar offensively this year is to last. The offense has become a "we can't run the ball and our OL sucks, Arch hopefully can carry us" again. @CJ Vogel said it best even before the season started - doesn't matter how good your skill position players are if your offensive line is subpar.
  16. Anger - Darrell Royal said football games are won by angry men. Anger because the fans don't think you can do the job and should get benched. Saban about Arch " the bench is a really good motivator"
  17. I like C Robertson - he hs a good heart but that don't get a blitzer blocked. Did Cole Hutson start the season at center last year?
  18. Thanks for you and Rod putting this together Jeff Funny how the "formula" basically boils down to: stop asking the offensive line to hold up forever and stop asking Arch to play hero ball every snap. Amazing what happens when the quarterback takes the layups and the offense stays on schedule. 🤘 I agree with the posters saying we don't "fix" the OL this season, we adapt to it. The article reads less like a quarterback breakthrough and more like Sark accepting reality. Quick game, screens, QB runs, and selective deep shots. Win with the team you have, not the team you wish you had.
  19. We are all so desperate to believe that there is a plan or a path towards some intelligible solution.
  20. I don't think it's a scheme change or a formula is going to fix Arch. This kid could be a superstar if he ever starts anticipating open receivers. He did it better for most of the night against Miss State and had his most efficient game of the year, however, he did go through a few series where he jumped back into the old habit of not throwing to OL is a problem, but I think you are right about Arch. The hesitancy, missing wide open receivers, and then throwing late into coverage is on him. Why that hasn't been coached out of him by now, no one knows, but when he doesn't pull the trigger early, he tends to miss wide open receivers, then gets sacked or has to scramble. Running early seems to help him some with that, but as we saw Saturday night, it still doesn't cure him 100%.
  21. How you always know you're almost in Bastrop too. Love that place.
  22. Thank you........... there is a path........be a crooked one.
  23. This article needs to be source material in the Bevo AI Lab.
  24. I believe your statement is correct. But, let's expand the "stinger" remark a bit. "We can't cut off your nose to spite your face. Todate, our inability to move the length of the field with a prolonged 'down and dirty' drive can only be accomplished with a super big play (stinger). Frankly, we have been pretty damn good at it...........but we, as Horn fans, simply are NOT accustom to this style. We don't like being pushed around and told what to do. We Are Texas. In short, I think Sark was saying let's focus less on the journey and more on the destination! (just remember that when all we had was Bijon and Roshawn, all we did was run, run, and run some more). Just do what we need to do to get to the Playoffs.
  25. Is it possible in the shot gun formation to have a slightly deeper snap that could help our offensive line provide a couple of tenths of a second more time for Arch?
