  1. Past hour
  2. Sunday morning: Notes: Three portal transfers were on campus yesterday. Yale OL Mikey Bennett, NC State RB Hollywood Smothers, and Pitt LB Rasheem Biles. Biles committed to the Longhorns yesterday evening. The two-time All-ACC linebacker, who recorded 181 tackles and 10 sacks over the past two seasons, immediately fills a major void in the Texas roster. The Longhorns have now taken two LBs in the transfer portal. Bennett is said to still be considering both Oregon and Indiana. Smothers, who initially committed to Alabama following his entry to the portal, remains on his official visit to Texas as of this morning. ** Wide receiver Cam Coleman has completed his tour of four campuses, finishing up with Alabama yesterday afternoon. Coleman is considering Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Bama. Bama is considered the biggest competition ** More notes: - If Smothers pledges to Texas, running back Christian Clark likely looks elsewhere. Clark and Texas have not signed an agreement for his return. - Linebacker Cade Uluave was predicted to go to Michigan by a Michigan reporter last night. Uluave has visited the Wolverines over the weekend after seeing Texas Thursday and Friday. - Former Oklahoma State defensive end Wendell Gregory is thought to be nearing a final decision. Texas is among those choices. - Defensive back Kobe Black is now expected to return to Texas next season, according to his agent. - Jamie Ffrench visited Michigan over the weekend. - Linebacker Bo Barnes has committed to Kentucky. - DeAndre Moore has yet to find a home. He has visited Colorado, Louisville, Ohio State, and Ole Miss, and possibly others. Moore's asking price was not met by Texas, nor any of the other schools as yet. ** While Monday-Wednesday of next week is a dead period, where no portal players are allowed on campus, the coaches may still recruit and sign portal prospects, they just can't host them on visits. Several new entrants to the portal are also expected during that period and later into the week. Texas will be actively monitoring the portal, especially for major entrants. ** The portal officially closes at midnight on Friday. All paperwork must be signed and submitted by that time by players and then universities have two business days to put the names into the portal. Given that grace period, we could be looking at a week from Tuesday (Jan. 20) as the final day we will be hearing new names entered into the portal.

  4. And yet he's been to two college football semifinals and won 10 games three straight years.
  5. - Linebacker Cade Uluave is predicted to go to Michigan by a Michigan reporter. 6. Could still post screenshots of what the other person is saying rather than making claims without evidence of what he’s saying
  7. Giants or Atlanta’ make the most sense. Miami is a distant third.
  8. Today
  9. It sucks for Bo, too. His agent just reamed him. Muschamp did his due diligence
  10. They said Coleman went to his Bama visit with an Auburn shirt on. Don’t look like he took it very serious. Sounds like he was just messing with bama. People in Bama are angry he did that. I’ve read on several sites from Bama and Auburn that talked about him wearing it. That would be like someone wearing a Aggie shirt for a Texas visit. Don’t look good for Bama and they don’t think it does either. That’s why they are look for other WR’s now.
  11. OMG. I genuinely thought you were a ducks fan. Seriously! If it quacks like a duck…you know how the rest goes
  12. I just watched the game and there were plenty of moments they could have folded, but didn't. The effort in the last quarter was right on. They have the pieces to win if they play better defense! They have a bunch of dudes that can score. Pope was really good tonight .
  13. This is the funniest one, shows a lot of perspective about how different fanbases know nothing about other teams...
  14. One thing I learned from reading all those posts. Sark doesn't have a good reputation for his coaching. Only for his recruiting. Sounds a lot like the Rep Mack had.
  15. Those discussions seem pretty much like every board thread I've followed going back to 1998.
  16. No!!!! Not the guy with 4 tackles!!! Nooooooooooooo!!!!
  17. Impressive win at the end of a long week with a lot of travel. 🤘
  18. You can tell Coach Miller stuck a big boot up the teams' 🍑 and left it wedged sideways after that embarrassing Tennessee loss. For all those who questioned Coach Miller... what we saw tonight was how he used to play. White boy had serious 🌰z... and he competed hard.. and never backed down. What he lacked in athletic abilities.. he compensated for it with toughness and heart. The team played in the image of their coach... and that's the beginning of establishing a culture. 🤘🏿
  19. i'd take magic over kobe. 6 foof 9 point guard. unselfish. oh excuse me, this is a horns basketball thread. yo
  20. I think its moreso the timing aspect for me only because I think when Coleman decides, you get some more very solid to elite guys that enter after he sets the market. I won’t lie and say I know a whole lot about Noah Rogers but I think its safe to assume Bama could line up some better visits at WR.
  21. Remaining big needs in the portal: Offense: 8 players 1 RB-1a or 1b, however you want to look at it but a starter. 1 WR-starter, ball winner. if not, we might need 2 level 2 guys. 1 WR- maybe as depth 3-4 OL- however you want to split the OT, OG, OC part, we need 3 for sure. I would be ok with 1-2 FCS/D2 guys if 1-2 others are D1 guys. Needs 2 more starters for sure. 3 if Roberson does not come back. i think we need 4 more bodies. 1 QB- veteran, wanna be coach that can pick up the system quickly and in an emergency wont lose the game, ideally Caldwell type but thats a tough ask. He was more than serviceable, won us a game. Defense: 4 players I ILB- starter level, bigger guy, thumper, run stuffer, >235lbs. 1 ILB- depth, thumper, bigger guy, >235lbs, i think can come from D1/FCS 1 OLB- in a 3-4 can play the OLB position, rush the passer, set the edge, give Colin a break. 1 OLB- bc of a long season, i do think we need some more depth at OLB, or ILB. can play ST also. If we bring everyone else back, we dont need anyone else but could definitely get some depth and ST work.
  22. Welcome to the 40 Acres Rasheem Biles and family! Hook em 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
  23. I don’t believe it has anything to do with Coleman’s recruitment, they need to find a replacement for Horton who jumped in the portal.
  24. Could be something, could be nothing, but Bama hosting another WR this evening is interesting… I know they might be a team going after 2 WR’s, but Texas hasn’t had another WR on a visit besides Coleman as of now as far as I know.
