Bunk Moreland Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago I admit that seeing A&M bring in experienced SEC linemen and basically completely rebuild their line while Texas struggles to get a single serviceable OL in the portal is a bit demoralizing. 1 1 1 Quote

And no not just because of three guys, it’s three guys I was very high on. I’m just disappointed with everything. No point in getting excited in high school recruiting anymore. Something I had a lot of fun with. I think every team is going to reconsider their high school recruiting strategy unfortunately. Quote

This is what I wanted Texas to do. I wanted experienced guys up front to protect Arch. Granted, both tackles are in good shape and Robertson could return at center, but I guess we will just see. 2 Quote

Tell you everything you need to know about Kyle Flood’s recruiting ability. We already know his evaluating ability is trash 1 Quote

Lockett, Terry, Ffrench sitting on the bench making too much money. All the freshmen that came in got the same amount on revenue share + a signing bonus. This year they are only getting the base revenue share amount and no signing bonus. Ffrench was not a top5 receiver on the team so why pay him like a top 5? Welcome to NIL team economics. Purging money also = purging talent at depth 1 Quote

Do you think Alabama and LSU are letting good offensive line players walk to other SEC schools? 1 Quote

DiggsTX Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago (edited) High school recruiting is dead for power 4 programs. Agents repping college kids have unintentionally tanked the value of high school players beyond the top 20-50 recruits who can have instant impact. They can either come for low value and be developed or they can test their worth with lower P4 and G5 teams. Such an interesting market dynamic. Edited 18 hours ago by DiggsTX 1 Quote

Would be interesting if the blue bloods stop investing significant NIL in all but a few elite high school recruits, leading the G5 to act as a minor league or developmental league. The blue bloods can then re-invest in the recruits that pan out at the G5 level. That would be wise from an ROI perspective. 2 Quote
diegozanna20 Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago I'm guessing James Simon and maybe another young WR are next to enter? Or maybe a DL Quote

Traves Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago All of this is going to make me care a lot less about high school recruiting moving forward. I wonder what percentage of players will never transfer in their careers? 20%? Quote
