Dawnpatrol75 Posted yesterday at 11:50 AM Posted yesterday at 11:50 AM Maybe this is a pipe dream but Forget Cam Coleman! Hold out for Malachi Toney to go into the portal post champ game. No way Miami will be able to keep him.🤘 2 Quote

Dread-headed Texan Posted yesterday at 12:03 PM Posted yesterday at 12:03 PM I think we should go after Jeremiah Smith 2 Quote
Chop Posted yesterday at 12:04 PM Posted yesterday at 12:04 PM Crazy he was so missed in ranking being a 3* Quote
tsip92 Posted yesterday at 12:05 PM Posted yesterday at 12:05 PM Why not get both? Seriously though, you won’t even know if Toney is going to be in the portal until after Coleman is off the board. You pursue Coleman until the end and if that doesn’t work out then you look at the next best alternative, whom ever that happens to be at the time. Quote
AusMOJO Posted yesterday at 12:06 PM Posted yesterday at 12:06 PM Miami would be stupid to not keep him. Depending on who they go after for QB (although it'll be pretty slim pickings by the time they're done in the natty). 1 Quote
Keelaannn Posted yesterday at 12:16 PM Posted yesterday at 12:16 PM They're not letting that Kid leave he went to the same school as Dia Bell and is a local kid about to play for a natty and a star. Nice pipe dream 1 Quote
Dawnpatrol75 Posted yesterday at 12:39 PM Author Posted yesterday at 12:39 PM (edited) There’s no way Miami will be able to keep that roster intact. Win or lose the Champ game. Edited yesterday at 12:39 PM by Dawnpatrol75 1 Quote
Bobby Burton Posted yesterday at 12:41 PM Posted yesterday at 12:41 PM Kid is a hell of a player. And he's worth anything he gets. But Coleman is a different type. He's an outside guy, who can play inside. Toney is an inside guy, who can play outside. 10 Quote
texcoyote15 Posted yesterday at 01:01 PM Posted yesterday at 01:01 PM Bishop is going to play next year for sure. The kid is dangerous with the ball in his hands. Quote

Agree on Bishop. If we are going to more of a pro style of team construction (less players across the board, more impact players from high school and portal recruiting) than we are going to need some of the freshmen to contribute in a meaningful way. Looking at Atkinson and Bishop from the current incoming class. g) 2 Quote
CHorn427 Posted yesterday at 01:25 PM Posted yesterday at 01:25 PM Yeah let’s bank on a guy from Miami leaving Miami after Miami plays in their first championship game in over 20 years. What could go wrong? 1 Quote

You sound like the people who kept predicting Arch would portal for the $$$ Toney was solid to Miami for a lkng time and played QB in High School. Was also undervalued because he was short. That’s how you get kids like Toney. No one had him as a five star because he was short and doesn’t have NFL measurables analytics podcasters glaze. Bishop can be that guy for us if we let him play and he adds 5-10 pounds of armor this spring. 1 Quote

While we're at it, let's money whip Jadan Baugh, Issac Brown, Christian Alliegro, Jake Guarnera, Andrew Sprague, and Jayden Woods too! In the infamous words of VY... "Dream team!" 1 1 Quote

Ace Recruiter Posted yesterday at 03:16 PM Posted yesterday at 03:16 PM He's not going anywhere. Pipe dream indeed. Quote

I’m not sure how closely you’ve been following, but almost every portal “recruitment” Texas has lost has been guys going back to their original schools or not entering at all. The reports I’ve seen is that multiple of these guys had higher offers from Texas. According to Gerry, one of them had a +500K higher offer from Texas. Clearly not all about the money. They are not only two different players, but also an outside WR really stresses a defense more than an inside WR. Think of the best WR's in the NFL: Justin Jefferson, Ja'Marr Chase, Nico Collins, etc. Toney is awesome. He'd raise the floor and ceiling of the WR room, but an outside threat would make this offense go. We had an outside threat in 23 (Mitchell) and 24 (Golden), but not 25, and look at the results. Chris Simons Posted yesterday at 04:11 PM Posted yesterday at 04:11 PM Absolutely zero shot Toney leaves Miami Quote
