I think I would label it as demoralizing more than anything. Its clear he is Texas' #1 target and they have invested a lot of time, money, and effort into this recruitment. On the field, it would stink but there are options that would still allow them to accomplish their goal.

I think they gave him a ton of money. At a position that was as thin as it was this past year, he couldn't crack the lineup. If he came at a reduced cost, come on down. But he can't be paid a ton unless he is contributing.
