Califashorn75 Posted Monday at 09:28 PM Posted Monday at 09:28 PM Bri Crittendon, Addison Bjorn, and Lizzy Spaight are on the West team. So next year's team will have a roster of McDonald's All Americans. Jordan Lee, Aaliyah Crump, Justice Carlton, Breya Cunningham and Madison Booker round this elite group!! Eight out of our 13 girls! Amazing. Great job Coach Vic and staff. 24 Quote

Once you get over the hump, you are in the clear and atop of the game. 9 Quote

I think Crump will get them over the hump with South Carolina, but if they get past South Carolina, they still have to take down the GOAT Geno Auriemma. I thought they wouldn't win another natty in the NIL era, but UConn has shown they can adapt to the new era of WCBB. But Vic looks like he will get a shot at winning it all in the next few years and I like his chances to break through. 7 Quote
chennups Posted Monday at 10:09 PM Posted Monday at 10:09 PM we did beat South Carolina last year in the regular season for what it's worth. just lost to them every time afterwards. football team is 0-3 vs. UGA since joining SEC. 1 Quote

Califashorn75 Posted Monday at 10:56 PM Author Posted Monday at 10:56 PM Bri and Addison are tall, strong ballers that are highly skilled. Couple these forwards with the girl from Luxembourg, playing for IMG, is a trio of forwards we have not seen on the 40 acres. 1 Quote
Califashorn75 Posted Monday at 10:58 PM Author Posted Monday at 10:58 PM UConn struck gold with Sarah Strong. Fudd has gotten so much stronger and reflects her numbers this year. They will be very tough to beat this year. Quote

That 2nd half against Tennessee yesterday UConn looked like a juggernaut. 1 Quote

Califashorn75 Posted 22 hours ago Author Posted 22 hours ago Our other signee, Joyce "Isi" Etute is a strong rebounder and scorer. She reminds me of a slightly bigger Justice Carlton. I have watched all of her highlight films and am amazed at her skill set. Originally from Luxembourg, she's balling at IMG. Can't wait to see how next year's roster meshes on the court. 1 Quote
ChanmanV Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago The scoring options next year are going to be incredible in the starting lineup and off the bench. Can you imagine: Starting 5 Booker Lee Carlton Preston Bjorn Bench Crump Crittendon Cunningham Spaight And that's not including any transfers. Everyone of these women can score efficiently and will put crazy pressure on the opponent's defense. You add Vic's defense and that's a championship looking team if I've seen one. 1 Quote

Crump will not be on the bench in 26. She can ball and is a pure scorer! 1 Quote

Also assuming no transfers out, which I don't really see, but never know. Who's Crump replacing in the lineup though? It's stacked. Quote
Moderators CJ Vogel Posted 8 hours ago Moderators Posted 8 hours ago Mentioned on the recruiting breakdown, it's just as impressive that all three come from out of state – Nevada, Missouri and Colorado. 2 Quote

Oldacre doesn't concern replacement wise...but Rori does. What she brings to this team is immeasurable. Quote

You forgot Holguin and Izi Itute from Luxembourg. These two are studs. Plus you forgot the big girl who is redshirting right now, Lovisa Hose. We are 13 deep next year, because we have the guard from Ireland too. 2 Quote

Holguin is more of a three point shooter, but she can play point too. We have a wealth of combos that Coach can use. There is a rumor that there is another big just waiting to get signed. 1 Quote

I hope so...i'm not doubting the coaching staff ability to fill her role as a pg. I'm just saying it's a concern having to replace that level of player. She does all the dirty work on the court for us and then some. She really sets the tone for everyone else to follow. But you know me, concern doesn't equal sky is falling. I'm just saying that it's gonna be hard and the team is going ot have to step up to replace her. 1 Quote
Califashorn75 Posted 7 hours ago Author Posted 7 hours ago No doubt. Rori is the heart of the team. But fortunately Bri Preston has been her understudy for two years. Coach Vic has been praising Bri and putting her in for crucial minutes. I think she will be ready. Hopefully, Rori will make the W. Quote
Califashorn75 Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago (edited) My starting five next year: Post: Brea Cunningham Forward: Justice Carlton Guards: Madison Booker, Jordan Lee, Bri Preston First off the bench: Lovisa Hose for Brea Cunningham Bri Crittendon for Justice Carlton Aaliyah Crump for Madison Booker Addison Bjorn for Jordan Lee Lizzy Spaight for Bri Preston On the Bench: (Used when Needed) Amalia Holguin: Guard Izi Itute: Forward Grace Prenter: Guard 13 deep! This is going to be a very solid team. Itute can play post, but she also can hit from the outside and has a great handle. Holguin is a three point sharp shooter. All those little things Rori does, I see Preston being able to do a lot of the same things. Preston will get up into the opposing teams PG to make them uncomfortable, she's going to set up her teammates, dive after loses balls, and play with infectious emotion. 1 Quote
Califashorn75 Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago Preston needs to continue to develop her midrange shot. Next year, we have some outstanding three point shooters. The new girls have played against great competition since their freshman year so they are ready to step in and compete. Very similar to Crump this year. The development of Justice Carlton has been significant, but remember she was coming off a knee injury. She has so much more bounce this year. She's physical and tough. I wish I knew how Lovisa Hose is coming along. She's 6'7" and is redshirting this year. I hope she's hitting the weights and working on her inside game. We need that two headed monster in the paint. I am super excited about next year's team. Quote
