TexasEx_10 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I hardly post and Texas Softball has been winning, but I’ve been worried about pitching for a while. It finally caught up with them yesterday and it’s going to cost Texas games in the future now that they are playing ranked conference opponents in the top of the SEC. Texas has one pitcher and that’s not good. 3 Quote

I will say this. There was a point last season where I had these same concerns about the non-Kavan pitching staff, but they found a way to come through in the tournament and go all the way. I think Coach White will have them pitching their best by May and hopefully June. Quote

I hate to be negative and critical, but no one is stepping up this year. Both Cam and Citlaly are regressing. I am also deeply concerned about the hitting of the freshman. Nichols is an automatic out. She hasn’t shown anything since SEC play started. No one is talking about Nichols’ struggles at bat and I am beginning to think I am crazy. I don’t know why Lawson is at DP instead of Wells this weekend; Wells needs all the ABs she can get. Batters 7-9 are reminding me of last year again. It’s gotten so bad Bennett is in the lineup this weekend. Again, I hate to complain, but White had a chance to go to the portal and decided to depend on a freshmen class instead. I hope I am proven wrong. Hook ‘em and thanks for letting me vent. I don’t post much and I have no one to discuss softball with. Edited 2 hours ago by TexasEx_10 1 Quote
HookemTexas Posted 3 minutes ago Posted 3 minutes ago I’ll talk any Texas sport. Players will go through slumps, Atwood was in a slump early in conference play. Nichols is a freshman and I’m confident she’ll find her way out. The worry is pitching because they all seemed to have regressed like Sophia Simpson. They start hot as freshman and get less and less playing time as they age. Outside of Kavan, all of White’s main starters that lasted were transfers. Quote
