Season not over yet? Despite this loss, Texas A&M is fighting for a top-four seed, which secures a double-bye in the tournament.

This is true and next weekend will be a tough series against a good Arkansas team. A&M has Oklahoma.

Arkansas series starts Thursday-Saturday not the usual Friday- Sunday

The offense this year has really been feast or famine.  They'll get shut out or run rule the other team.  Very inconsistent.

Texas is a top-four seed ... a major advantage

We have the talent to make a run, but the second half of the season showed why we are not the safest pick. The pitching depth behind Kavan hasn’t been consistent, the defense has been shaky, and the offense disappears too often against top‑tier arms. In a league as deep as the SEC, those issues get exposed fast. We can win it, but they’ll need to play cleaner softball than they have in months.
