GoHorns1 Posted May 24 Posted May 24 (edited) My dad was the manager of the Foremost Dairy Farm back in the 50s and we lived in Buda. Edited May 24 by GoHorns1 1 2 Quote
Rick Posted May 24 Posted May 24 When I was in HS in the late 60’s, we played at Buda. Their water had so much sulfur in it no one took a shower. That was the smelliest bus I’ve ever been on. I would expect that they’ve made improvements since then. 2 Quote

Moderators Hank South Posted May 24 Moderators Posted May 24 My wife's parents live in Kyle. They love it. Great restaurant selection too. I was by Hays HS the other day and looks like they're getting an indoor facility. Looked really nice. 1 1 Quote
Moderators Jeff Howe Posted May 25 Moderators Posted May 25 We sold our house in Buda a couple of years ago, but only relocated to San Marcos because of my wife's work. More restaurants/bars are popping up every week, it seems. There's plenty to do away from the I-35 corridor. 3 Quote
southpaw Posted May 25 Posted May 25 I live in Buda, on the west side. My son has a house on the east side. I've lived in the general area for almost 60 years, but in Buda for only 10 years. Traffic is getting worse by the day/month/year. I never go into Austin unless I'm heading to a UT game or it's something that I can't do/attend without it. 1 Quote

We are both old and I refuse to pay out the wazoo for a house in Austin. Just need a small yard, with a few small trees (I have about 20 mature oaks and hackberry and they are hades when they drop their leaves), and a pool for the grand kids. Quote

I've already adopted Brooklyns down South in Buda, and like the 6 creeks area because it is way thew heck out of the maddening traffic. 620 now is murder. Quote

They have, but I'm still getting the water softener/conditioner whole house, and a r/o system under the sink. Save the plumbing. Quote

BBQ and brew is on me. 1 Quote

I'll check the schedule, start the grill, and ice down the Yeti for a game watch for OTF members who can come. P Quote

Met a friend there for lunch about a month ago and had the chicken fried steak. The restaurant is owned by Scott Roberts, who owns the Salt Lick. It's in the Buda Grail &Mill location where Valentina's used to be. Edited 2 hours ago by southpaw Quote
