Why do you care who the aggies hire as their track coach ? I could care less about any news concerning aTm. This is On Texas Football!🏈🤘🏻

This kind of post has always been a head scratcher for me. The guy posted news about a rival’s coaching change in a Director’s Cup sport that many of us do, in fact, care about and try to follow. 

The better question is why you felt threatened by the original post to the level of needing post an admonishment of it. 

You may have noticed that there are mod threads created for all kinds of Texas sports, and Bobby and his team never lack in commentary about non-football sports as well.

I have followed Longhorn sports for probably longer than you’ve been alive. I follow everything concerning Longhorn sports, probably too much as my wife would say. I like all of the different sports that OTF posts about plus their podcast. I just don’t need information concerning the aggies, ou, or any other school not named Texas. 🤘🏻

Peak virtue signaling is all it is lol. Also it’s the offseason in all 3 major sports. Who cares what’s discussed at this time

You’re wrong. Bobby has had multiple head coaches at the University on his morning show.  Lots of coverage of all sports.  Football drives the bus.  A lot of us like multiple sports.  I wish we were better at track and field myself.

You didn’t see my next reply. I watch all OTF podcasts and read most topics. I love the fact that Bobby has all of the other coaches on the podcast. I’ve followed every Longhorn sports for more years than I can remember at my age. I concern myself with the coaches that Texas hires and the athletes that compete  there.

I want to thank the OP for the info. This is the first I had heard this news. For those who want only UT news I say this…you can be annoyed at atm or hate them (as all sane people do) as much as you like but keeping informed of what our long time foe does is important. We need info to stay ahead of an ever growing crowd that hates us and celebrates every loss and setback.

Great hire for Aggy. They continue to dominate track on the men’s side. One of the very few blemishes at Texas is our track program.

I assumed originally that your handle implied you graduated from Texas in '75. If so, congrats! I've been following Texas since I was a kid, and doing so religiously as an adult. That spans many decades, so pulling the age rank card is a nonfactor. It's clear understanding the enemy isn't important to you, and that's your prerogative. I stand by my original position that admonishing others who actually do care about what longhorn rivals are up to, on a board where all of these sports are actively followed, is a head scratcher. Other adult longhorn fans don't need this kind of attempted gatekeeping on content.

The post was here for those of us who followed the final few weeks of the Directors Cup.  If you watched the YouTube shows, you would know that a lot of the questions from the guys were whether or not Texas would replace the men’s track coach since it’s been a weak area.  Bobby had discussed that even though it wasn’t where it needed to be that he felt like Dodd would wait another year.  I just know after watching Burrell as a track star from UH and his success at Auburn he would have been great for us.  
 

A lot of us are here because this board is the best created to date IMO.  I Still have my OB membership but don’t care to much for it because of so many jerks that focus on being jerks instead of reading the content for what it is…just information most would want a heads up on.  
 

It would be great that if you don’t like a post to not reply just to be old grouch as we are all fans of the same university.
