Moderators CJ Vogel Posted 4 hours ago Moderators Posted 4 hours ago Texas is on a roll with its 2027 class, and certainly isn't done given that we are only a handful of days into the month of July. Should the Longhorns bat a thousand moving on remaining prospects RB Landen Williams-Callis and WR Monshun Sales, the Horns will have put together one of the most top heavy recruiting classes since Sarkisian took the job. Which, likely means it is the most top heavy class in a decade and a half considering the previous regimes. But wanted to go through the top 20 recruits Texas has signed each year, based off of the 247Sports Composite rankings. 2022 – #10 DJ Campbell 2023 – #1 Arch Manning, #18 Anthony Hill Jr. 2024 – #18 Colin Simmons 2025 – #10 Jonah Williams, #12 Justus Terry, #18 Kaliq Lockett ... #21 Lance Jackson 2026 – #18 Dia Bell 2027 – #2 John Meredith III*, #6 Easton Royal*, #20 Ismael Camara* * denotes currently committed Longhorns are right in the mix for a top five class at the moment, and the two whales remaining could certainly put them in the conversation for a top two class in the country. Plenty of work to be done until the classes are finalized, but the elite talent that headlines the class is certainly there for this 2027 class. 8 Quote

I know Dylan Stewart has traits that translate well to the NFL, but Colin Simmons has been the more productive player at the college level between the two. For Simmons not to have been ranked higher than Stewart coming out of high school is head scratching to say the least. 1 Quote

NTX_Horn Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago If Sark lands LWC and Sales, and is able to hang onto Royal, who are some flip targets that could really make this class special? Quote
HookedOnTF Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Forgot Banks. A rabbit hole would be to compare top 10 classes 4 year rolling average vs sp+. Quote

Colin has stayed relatively healthy. Quote
