It's the first game against a top team.  The freshman will get better. Coach Vic will whip them into shape.

I am out of loop, was this a real game or exhibition ?

As some others have said, the freshman are talented but they lack experience.  Whether they get enough experience during the year to make a run at the end will be key.  A couple of freshman for UConn were European pro players and the experience difference was obvious.

PG definitely was rough, especially the 2nd half.  Shooting % outside of Booker second half just took a nose dive off a cliff.

I think one issue I see already this year will be Speights being our backup PG and so small and a liability on defense. Unless you play defense like Rory Harmon, teams are going to attack you at 5'6" every time down the court like UConn was doing. They weren't even taking full advantage by putting her in the pick and roll. So she either needs to figure out how to play extra on defense like Rory and Hildalgo do or Vic might not be playing her as much as the season continues.

I have been looking for a post game presser but I don't think Coach Vic did one. These NIL games are not very organized or well attended. Are they even worth it? How much does each participant make on these?

Was not impressed at all. The team still lacks shooting and the pg and center position look rough.

So you give up after one scrimmage going against UConn on their home floor. ?

Not sure, but there was some sort of media availability. A few of the Texas beat writers had some post game comments by Cori Close. One was giving Texas props for playing in their practice uniforms due to whatever issue UCLA had with theirs. The other was complaining (again) about how "aggressive" Texas is and how it is, somehow, "inhibiting the growth of the game."
