UT?

I've since moved to the west coast and I was wondering how do you say where you went to school? Obviously, in Texas everyone would know what you are talking about when you say "UT" but I usually get blank stares now.

• Texas? I feel like this is the best option but I almost feel like you gotta know ball
• UT Austin? This sounds like a community college
• University of Texas? Too long

Establish dominance and say UT!

Lol jokes aside I usually say UT Austin to those outside of Texas. I actually met someone who told me he went to UT only to find out later he was talking about University of Toronto😂

In my day we just said "The University" and everyone in Texas just knew.

Just say UT. If you get a blank stare, punch them in the throat for not knowing Texas.

Agree, I say Texas. If those west coasters don’t know that’s on them. We are Texas and damn proud of it!!

I lived in Nashville and I still always said UT. Sometimes I said the real UT if I thought they needed clarification.
