My immediate thoughts were put Siani at left tackle and Baker back at right . Left guard Seymoure right guard Hutson and Connor at center . That or next man up at LT. If there’s one place Flood has earned his money it’s at developing tackles. 2 Quote
bigblanco Posted 36 minutes ago Posted 36 minutes ago You gotta leave Baker at RG, keep that position as a strength... if you push him out to tackle after he's been preparing all offseason to play guard that puts both RG and RT to question marks Quote

Assistant Regional Manager Posted 34 minutes ago Posted 34 minutes ago 11 minutes ago, TexasLonghorns said: Texas isn’t exactly void of talent. They have one of the top 3 most talented rosters in the country. Ohio State lost Simmons before the season, shuffled the OL and still won a national championship. If Texas doesn’t have enough pieces behind Goosby to withstand one injury, that’s not a talent problem, that’s a roster/development problem on Sark and Flood. Only Texastwostepp would see the news that a top 10 pick in the draft is hurt and find a way to downplay it and twist it back to his hatred for Sark. Nicely done. Hope the Chiefs can get a preseason win this week buddy. 1 Quote
TTown Posted 33 minutes ago Posted 33 minutes ago Athletic trainers always do a couple of tests immediately on the area. They usually give a pretty good idea on the injury. But the MRI confirms the severity of a tear or sprain if at all etc. So obviously there was some looseness etc. Just hope for the best . Quote

I wouldnt say "obviously"... I think we would all be hearing worse if the trainers believed it was a tear or something Quote

archmadness Posted 26 minutes ago Posted 26 minutes ago I can assure you it is not good if they're going through all this. An athletic trainer can tell generally if something is seriously wrong and someone in the family would have said they think it's nothing if that was the trainer didn't feel looseness when moving the knee. 1 Quote

The point is that Texas has an absurd amount of talent behind him. If the roster is truly one injury away from the season falling apart, that says something about the roster construction and development. But sure, “Sark hatred” is easier than actually addressing the point. 🤣 Quote

While certainly a good sign unfortunately it doesn’t rule out a thing. Appreciate the info…we will all be on pins and needles until the MRI results are confirmed. Quote
Leveller Posted 23 minutes ago Posted 23 minutes ago A player walking off on his own and having a torn ACL is not uncommon. Walking off the field on your own doesn’t tell you anything. Quote

There’s been UFC fighters that go on to win a fight after tearing an acl. Quote

Not necessarily. This is a 1st team Left Tackle and probably first round pick in this years NFL draft, Those guys get treatment like this just to be on the safe side. Quote

That's not entirely true. With a player like Goosby and the future he has ahead of him, a trainer can certainly manipulate the knee and check for resistance or instability. However, the smart move is to get an MRI and see exactly what is or isn't damaged before making any assumptions. 1 1 Quote
